Chaophraya

Very warm welcoming staff. The food was of the highest quality and wonderful flavours. Superb deserts. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Food was tasty once it arrived but took 1.5 hours for mains to arrive then another hour for dessert and we kept having to ask if food was still coming.

Wow Chaophraya what a change... The portions are a lot bigger and the quality is just as high... so now the food is much much better value for money... I had duck from the grill section and you know the good restaurants where you get a duck with no bones... and it was luscious. 5 spices Chips nice, prawn crackers super, egg fried rice very nice... not dry and sticky at all... So everything i ordered was nice. The service is always nice...they made a few mistakes on the order but was ok.. The atmosphere is ok the music is nice. But I do not think the got the sound right as sometimes it is fdiffcult to hear what the people say in front of you. The tables and chairs are basic.. but the chairs are comfortable... The restaurant room looks amazing... so perhaps that goes toward the atmosphere... but I am not sure.. once you sit you really see it or notice it... I think it depends where one sits in relation to the speakers. For the first time ever I had to ask for a doggy bag. Usually the portions where tiny. For a high cost.. Good place to go...

We’ve visited Chaophraya a few times now, and after our latest visit I thought it was only fair to leave a review. The food is absolutely fantastic and is undoubtedly the jewel in the crown of this restaurant. Every member of our family enjoyed their meal, and that’s been consistently true on every visit we’ve had. Unfortunately, the service on this occasion and others was quite disappointing. We were only served one round of drinks throughout the entire meal, and when we ordered more, they never arrived with them. There also didn’t seem to be many staff around, although whether that was due to the time of day or something else, I’m not sure. That said, this was the only let-down during an otherwise enjoyable visit. The quality of the food alone is enough for me to recommend Chaophraya, and I’d certainly return in the hope that the service is back to the high standard the food deserves.
