Pride in Luton

Pride in Luton began as a one-day festival in the Hat District, the old hat-making quarter around the Hat Factory arts centre, in 2022. The 2025 edition ran on Saturday 14 June, free, from midday to 21:00, with a remembrance vigil at the Hat Factory beforehand. The 2026 festival, planned for 13 June, was cancelled when the organising charity announced its closure in March 2026. Volunteers relaunched Pride in Luton as a community interest company in early June 2026 and held a smaller Pride weekend in High Town instead, based at the Bricklayers' Arms. No date for a 2027 festival had been announced when we checked in October 2026. Bedford Pride, about 25 minutes away by train, ran on 5 September 2026.
