Excellent swim over the weekend thank you , pool warm, always very polite staff, Karen, Lisa,Mary and Finley! Would highly recommend.

Little bit dated and tatty for the price we paid, bar near reception wasn't open which was disappointing and people were walking through the hotel in wet swimming costumes which was a bit weird. Well placed for a gig at the football stadium, only £8 in an Uber.

Stayed here 7th-11th April 24. I did not read the reviews before we went and I can understand the negativity about certain rhings Mostly the rooms were getting bad feedback but I can honestly say our was fine, it was clean and the bed was really comfy. The only bad thing was the shower. Very small in size and nowhere to put your shower gel or shampoo so it inevitably hits the floor. Also the shower head will not stay up, slides down the pile all the time. The pool & sauna are OK, I think people expect 'gym quality' amenities but you don't get it. I don't think it should be chargeable at £4 though The food we had was not bad and we have honestly had worse in 4 star hotels. It's a buffet style and the plates are small so fill'em up! Breakfast is mainly aimed at a hot option but there are cereals etc Now for the problem with this hotel.... The reception staff. Upon arrival you expect front of house to be welcoming, smiley and full of information about your stay.... Not here! You get looked at as a distraction from whatever else they are doing. Arriving guests of this hotel should take priority over any other tasks. They are the first impression on arriving and it is not a good one. Also I enquired on Monday afternoon after arrival for an extra pillow as you only get 1 each and I was told it would be 1 to 2 hours... Didn't arrive... Asked again on Tuesday and again nothing. In fact still no extra pillow on the Friday we left. Not good. That is why I gave 1 star for service but please don't let this include the catering staff who were really attentive and didn't stop working and requests were met with a smile and then returned with your request answered. One staff member Julie was a shining light and a credit to the hotel. All in all, yes the hotel is dated and tired inside and obviously lacks investment but I suggest investment in reception staff who actually look like they can be bothered and start your stay the right way is the main concern that needs addressing.

Give this hotel a miss. Stayed one night with a group of friends on 4th June. We were going to the take that concert. We arrived around 2pm with the plan to have a light lunch either in the restaurant or have bar food. The restaurant was closed and so was the bar so we couldn't even get a drink or have tea or coffee. Staff said the restaurant was opening at 4pm. Can't remember what they said about the bar. Someone at the hotel recommended the golf club called Hogans 5mins walk around the corner to get something to eat - it was delicious and our waitress was amazing. When we came back after the take that concert we were peckish and was looking forward to having a drink along with a lot of other concert goers. Everything was closed. This hotel is missing a huge trick here!! Having one of the biggest bands in the world playing down the road they would have made a fortune serving food all day and having the bar open. My friend popped to the garage down the road in the end to buy sandwiches and crisps. Oh and no biscuits in the room to have with your tea/coffee. We were booked in for breakfast on the Friday but decided to go back to Hogans because we knew it would be good and freshly cooked to order. All this has been relayed back to the staff on reception. My friend asked to see the manager but he had mysteriously disappeared lol. She's going to email him. Can't wait to read the reply.

Great location great hotel great rooms staff very helpful particularly the cleaning lady who was under pressure with getting rooms ready very good big applause yo her 👏

From the outside it looks good, but looks can be deceiving. There was half eaten pizza on a table outside my room for two days. Bedroom windows could be neither fully opened or even closed. Kettle cable was that short it didn’t reach a plug socket unless it was on the floor. Breakfast choice is very limited and the meal vouchers and quality of evening meal reminded me of school dinners.

Room(117) was above the kitchen so it was SUPER noisy from 6-7am. Place is not in best shape really outdated, no A/C. Not worth £60 per night.

I stayed here for five nights. In terms of value for money, it is okay and you get what you pay for. The hotel is somewhat difficult to reach without a car or bicycle, or otherwise requires a bit of walking. My room was clean and tidy, with a comfortable bed and a decent bathroom. There was a fridge in the room and a fan, which was very nice in August. The hotel itself is good, but in some areas (hallways, toilets, elevators) it feels somewhat dated. Breakfast and dinner are very simple, with little choice and not of high quality, but it wasn't bad either. The swimming pool was very disappointing. The changing room has no private cubicles, so you have to change in a large shared space, which is unpleasant if you value privacy. Hygiene there was also far from good. Despite clear rules, people were still shaving there, and overall it is a very outdated changing area that looks like it isn't cleaned every day. The pool is small and at times too crowded when too many people are allowed in, which causes discomfort and makes proper swimming difficult. The pool area is also in strong need of renovation and no lifeguards were present the days i used it. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially in the bar, restaurant, and at reception. They provided good assistance. For a few days or a conference, this is a good place.

Lovely venue for small gatherings. Went here for a family event ,ample parking, AC on point & spotless.

Very run down, and the favourite word from all the staff was 'No!' Appalling place, the staff were very unhelpful. I got told I couldn't have dinner because I didn't buy a dinning voucher!..
