King Charles Hotel in Kent

A nice little hotel with real free parking as some hotels I’ve stayed in safe free parking but you end up paying quiet nice little back garden with load of fish breakfast was good nice hot showers overall a lovely experience and for the price too would definitely stay again to the next time I come to that part of Kent…..

I booked this hotel on a whim. Ooh what a surprise from the outside it doesn't look that much. In side it was excellent. From the moment I checked in the staff we're really top nothing was too much. Having spent the day roaming around Chatham. We decided to eat in the restaurant Again fantastic service from the attentive staff. The food was excellent ( I had the steak and ale pie my friend had chicken in white wine and mushrooms sauce) the portions were more than enough for us. My room was clean and modern ( a tad warm) . I'm glad I found this little gem of a hotel and I certainly will be staying there again soon. Well done all the fantastic staff.

Had a nice stay at the King Charles. Wasn't expecting much as was so cheap and included breakfast but it was actually really nice and oldskool. Think old solid pine furniture but stands the test of time. Beautiful fish tanks and koi carp in the courtyard. Beds were comfy. Room was clean. Ideal for what we needed. My little dog was allowed and cost £10 to accompany me. Lots of local amenities. We had a walk at the nearby Riverside country park. Perfect for a night or few if you're in the area. They don't give forks if you get a takeaway though, which I suppose is fair enough as they serve food. We just didn't fancy sitting in restaurant as we were tired and I was feeling a bit unwell. For the price, which is half of most places it was a bargain. Only downside was upstairs were "enjoying themselves" for a a large part of the bight and the bed was very bangy/ squeaky. 😆

Paid for a £61 double bed en suite for a couple of friends who were in a pinch. The receptionist Jerry was a stellar gent and guided us through the process very warmly. Our Uber ride had got us to the hotel unfortunately a little after the 2am cutoff, but following correspondence along the way he was gracious enough to still allow it. My company was civil, which helps! ;) Great guy to chat to before I left the premises, and I'll definitely rebook in future. Can't thank him enough.

Nice place and great people

The Hotel is a little dated, but it's clean. The staff are wonderful. Particularly the breakfast staff. They go above and beyond to ensure everything goes smoothly and you feel welcomed. I would highly recommend this hotel if you're in the area. I will definitely be back when I next visit the area. Thank you for a stress free stay!

My only concern is that I was unable to set up a tab so that as an accountant for the club I have lots of receipts to go through and itemise,whereas 1 receipt would have just been catagorised as hotel and expenditure for our judge.
