Hostel Thiany - Male Only

Terrible reception! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone!! When I booked through Booking.com, it was two rooms for a certain price. When I arrived at the guesthouse, there were only two single beds in the same room. I spoke to the employee when I arrived, and she gave me a discount on the daily rate. But when I left, the owner, who was at reception, was extremely rude and disrespectful when I spoke to her about what happened. She even made me pay the difference. I also questioned the breakfast, which Booking.com listed as included in the daily rate, and she said I would have to pay separately and go to another place if I wanted it. The room was very uncomfortable, poor hygiene, and the old tube television didn't work well. In short, my stay at this place was terrible. I will never return and I don't recommend it!! A shame for a location that is otherwise great!

The "bedroom window" is in the bathroom, which is accessed from the bedroom through a PVC accordion door. The door above the door is open, letting in smells, cold, and dampness. Upon arrival, they charged us for the room and gave us a bag containing the room key and electricity card, a garage door remote (which didn't have space for all the cars, so we had to leave them on the street), and a split air conditioner remote that didn't work. I had to go downstairs to have the batteries changed, but it didn't work either. Then an employee came and changed the remote. Besides being very noisy, the air conditioner didn't heat very well, and the TV remote, which we didn't even use. The water didn't get hot in the shower; I took a nearly cold shower. The "face towel" was a container with low-quality paper towels. They couldn't even put a decent plastic bag in the bathroom trash can. It was difficult to find an employee when we needed one. The guesthouse doesn't offer breakfast but has an agreement with a hotel that requires a car, costing R$40 per person. When we tried to get the voucher for the coffee, there was no one at reception and we ended up missing out on breakfast.

Terrible, awful inn. Breakfast is only available elsewhere and costs $40.00 per person, meaning that for around 300.00 reais in Bento Gonçalves, you can find better hotels with breakfast included.

Without meaning to, we chose the room with the worst rating here on Google. Even so, we simply loved the place. Everything worked perfectly, the gas shower was wonderful, the air conditioning worked really well, the room was clean and smelled nice, and we fell in love with the hot tub. We were very well attended to and very well guided. We were able to look at 4 rooms before choosing which one we would stay in, the attendant was very friendly and gave us tips on very cool places to visit. Great location for the Fenavinho wine tasting event. There is parking. Simple room, with the bathroom inside a stall in the room, but it's worth the price and didn't bother us. The hot tub is an experience in itself, but worth every penny. We plan to return and recommend it. PS: we don't know what the condition was like when the negative reviews were made, but currently, you just need to know how a gas shower works (it usually takes a while to heat up) and an air conditioner (it's usually necessary to connect the remote to the unit). PS2: we found the images on the headboard of the bed very funny.
