Coral Sands Beach Resort

This place is a gem of a gem. For many years the cast at Coral Sands have been like family to mine. The respect i have for all the employees here is emence and has been favorable for all the years of visits. Who cares about the little things when the big part is just being able to stay with friends in one of the most beautiful places on earth. From Rosemarie the Owner, Susan, Tyrone, Carleton, Nicki, Carl and the many more employees who made us feel like family on all our visits. For 30 years we have been lucky to visit Barbados and for many many of those visits we spent at Coral Sands and cannot say enough about the Bajan hospitality that we experienced with our stays. It has been a few years since our last visit due to covid and a change in my career however I just wanted you all to know that this Hotel was special to us and they deserve the credit for our amazing stays throughout the years. This review has been a long time in coming. I always wanted to keep it a secret because of the peaceful and tranquil stays we had always experienced. Whenever I hear a frog from our local pond here it always brings me back to my special family vacation days at Coral Sands. Our walks to the gap or a stroll to Massy's for some local shopping and to the first taste of a double; many special memories and a thankful respect to all at Coral Sands for the bajan hospitality at its finest that we received. They are family and im so proud of all of them and just thought I would express my appreciation for their professionalism and love to my family. Sorry for the late review to my special place in Heaven. They are so well deserving of this recommendation from me. So to all who might have a different opinion the truth is that your allowed but it will never change my opinion ever. Thank you Coral Sands for the many amazing memories you have created for my family and as always we cannot wait to come back home...

I found this hotel through searching and this is my second stay here. First the location is outstanding. You are walking distance of thr gap, Worthing square and numerous shops in Christ Church. The beach here is phenomenal. The staff is friendly and accommodating. And the rooms are perfect for families and friends! Absolutely coming back again.

My stay at this hotel was quite underwhelming. Several basic amenities were missing, which significantly affected my overall experience. There were no beach chairs available, which made it difficult to relax by the shore. In the room, there were no towels provided upon arrival, which should be a basic standard for any accommodation. Additionally, the bathroom was not stocked with essential toiletries like shampoo or body wash, and the kitchenette was missing dishwasher detergent. These are small but important details that make a big difference in comfort and convenience, especially for longer stays or travelers expecting to self-cater. For the price and reputation, I expected much better. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves both their amenities and service standards moving forward.

Where do I begin? When I say RUNAWAY from this place please listen. If it was up to me this place earns ZERO STARS. They say this a Resort but where? This place is so LOW BUDGET. Only a handful of people work there. When I travel I travel and stay at the Best Hotels. The cook was the cook and Bartender and she hung in there thank you Mrs. Nikki. DO NOT BOOK AT THIS HOTEL/MOTEL. Save yourself.

Nice boutique hotel right on the beach. Great view from our 2nd floor room. Though there was a fence around the pool, it didn't impact the overall view of the beach and ocean. Had breakfast every day on the balcony. Kitchenette had all the basics (plates, cutlery, etc.) but there were no spices or oils or dish soap, so expect to pick them up yourself. Beds were comfortable, but by no means extravagant. Room was quite large with lots of closet space and double sinks. Staff was quite friendly, though we didn't spend any time around the pool or getting any drinks from the bar, so can't say anything about bar staff. Walking distance to decent restaurants and the St. Lawrence Gap (about 8 minutes). Also walking distance to the local grocery store, so didn't need to have a car. Unfortunately, we ran into a problem with bed bugs. We didn't notice the first day or two, but by the 3rd day I noticed bites on my legs. By the 4th and 5th day they got worse. Ended up having to sleep in a different room. Would have preferred that they simply took the beds out of our room and moved in clean beds from another room. They offered a different room, but as it was our last night, it would have been a huge pain to move everything up 2 floors (extremely small elevator), so just slept in a different room on the same floor. Not the best way to finish off our visit. They provided a solution that worked best for them, but not for us. Certainly would have a different solution from a better (more expensive) hotel. Overall a decent hotel for the price but not top-notch. I'd have given it 4 stars, but only 3 because of the bed bugs and not a great resolution to the problem.

Stayed in one of the sea view rooms. Balcony is huge and the view is amazing. The kitchen area was really useful but they don't provide much in the way of condiments, oil etc so advise packing your own. The beach is fine but the sea is quite choppy here, if you want a calmer beach you'll need to travel further north a few miles. Otherwise the location is perfect, there's tons of shops and restaurants around 5-10 min walk. The pool area and bar is fine, the staff are friendly but not present much. Have to pick your moments to order a drink. Wish they didn't have barbed wire all round the edge as it gives it prison vibes. It's inexpensive by Barbados standards and lives up to the price - don't expect a lot from the hotel, get out and explore and you'll have a good time.

Nice hotel with sea 🌊 view. Very Very clean. Staff Very friendly helpful. Some activity around happening. Supermarket, gas station ⛽️, restaurants not so far. Good choice for family ❤️🇧🇧🥂🍾

Here right now and having a lovely time! All staff have been lovely, amazing view from balcony. Amazing location close to supermarket and beaches, good little kitchenette and having a few rums on the balcony as I write this review !!!

The staff are lovely, especially the guys in reception who always give a cheery hello. The cleaning staff are friendly and do a great job. I liked our room. It was spacious, comfortable, and equipped with most things you need to cook. Food and cleaning stuff can be bought from the nearby markets, and there are plenty of things to do within a bus ride on the number 11. It's very close to the small beach which is much quieter than The Sands next door. You have to pay for a lounger and parasol on the beach if you want them. Our sea view was impeded by the roof of the bar, but that was not the end of the world as we don't spend much time on our balcony in the daytime and we got a good view of some of the local birds. Our fridge sounded like a broken helicopter, but the team replaced it 2 days after we told them, which was great service. The only problem we encountered was the lack of respect by guests and the high demand for the pool and loungers. There aren't enough to seat everyone, so there is a rule that you can't reserve loungers. We had an unsavoury incident which culminated in one of the guests threatening myself and my wife, which said a lot more about him than it did us and the hotel. Maybe I'm soft, but I don't like being threatened and certainly won't stand for it when my wife is. This had left a bitter taste on a fabulous stay, but we spoke with the manager, and he offered us a reasonable solution that restored our faith in this hotel. We're people-people and feel looked after by the staff, who we can't fault. It's worth noting that I got a round of applause from one balcony as lounger-gate unfolded, then was approached by a couple of guests the following morning agreeing with what I did and praising me for standing up to the bullies, one of whom attempted to goad me for the rest of our stay but we just ignored him. This gave us confidence to go back down to the pool area, and having a chat with the manager made us feel safe again. On our last day, we decided to extend our checkout to get the most of our stay, and the team went above and beyond for us again, which we appreciated greatly. We are leaving with a very good impression of this place and the people that work here and are looking forward to coming back.

Do not book this hotel (not a resort) if you enjoy beautiful scenery while sitting by the pool. The pool deck is surrounded by an ugly chain linked barbed wire fence that you have to look through while sitting at the pool. Also half the deck has high bushes that make it impossible to even see the beach. Also we stay on the second floor and you see this ugly fence. They also took in the umbrellas because of "high winds". But none of the surrounding hotels did the same. The wind wasn't that strong and according to other guest was the same as the week before. We were there 5 days. The umbrellas were gone for 4 days. The hotel was clean but needs updates. We had to ask for wash clothes because they weren't in our room. The location is nice on a very small beach. Instead of a gate and walk way straight out to the beach there was a side gate and an alley to walk down to the beach. It is close to many good restaurants. St Lawrence gap is a 10 minute walk. Also a place close by with lots of food trucks. Over all good but they need to get rid of that ugly fence and tall bushes. Oh they don't provide beach chairs. You have to rent them.

We are here now. They have removed the umbrellas from the pool area. The explanation is “high wind advisory”, the question is “then why remove the umbrella stands as well?” This Carolina girl can’t lay out without an umbrella. They have also removed the tables. I would not have stayed here if I had known this ahead of time.
