Xanadu Island Resort

This hotel is a hidden gem. 3.5/4 star accomodations with friendly staff who offer helpful suggestions, good location in San Pedro, all at very attractive rates. We loved the spacious 2-bed, 2-bath studio with a fully stocked kitchen, nice patio/veranda, clean and warm pool, easy access to a pier for scuba dive pick-up, and plenty of golf cart parking. The front desk and cleaning staff were incredibly helpful. And it was close to very good restaurants and a very good grocery store within walking distrance.

A great place secluded from the nearby street. Excellent rooms, excellent service, and an amazing pool, which is open 24 hours which is great for night swimmers like me. The televisions in the suites were a bit small and old, so an update to those would be great. I wish I had stayed an extra two days so I could've enjoyed the resort more.

Would absolutely love to return to this resort again! We had two couples in our group, and the two bedroom suite was perfect! It was super convenient to have a full kitchen in our space, but each of our rooms were delightful. Comfy beds, warm shower, lovely sitting area. The resort itself is STUNNING. The pool and hot tub make for a beautiful place to spend the day, especially with a bar right there for rum punch when you need it. The dock also makes it easy to be picked up for any excursions. Every thing is easier because the staff is so incredibly welcoming and helpful when it comes to booking things like massages or reserving your golf cart! 10/10 am hoping to return soon!

I love staying here, very quaint naturalistic aesthetic which we love! Staff are all wonderful. Place is well kept over the years.

We just spent 5 days here and it is perfect! The pool is shaded by beautiful trees. The beach is right there. The private pier is so fun. My kids swam for hours. The staff is friendly and helpful. I can't think of anything better. This place is a gem. Book it!

Xanadu- this review is for YOU. Not the innumerable people that may read it. You have gifted me two, memorable, magical trips. One with my family in August 2023, then with girlfriends in March 2026. My first time here I was so impressed with the landscape, how natural it felt, the service was impeccable, anything you needed they would help you get it. In fact, we lost our liquor from Belize city on the flight over to San Pedro. The driver that picked us up at the airport and took us to Xanadu spent a day and ended up recovering the very bag of liquor that we purchased. The recommendations from the front desk were all as advertised. Our snorkel guide was knowledgeable, thorough, and so much fun to spend time with. All of the food that we had was incredible down to the pizza we had delivered. Even cuddling up for a Rainy night in our room, eating pizza, and watching Ghostbusters ended up being one of my favorite nights. Then this March, after explaining how incredible this resort is, my girlfriends decided to go as well. Everything was just as desired described down to the same driver, the same snorkel guide, and the same kitty cats that wander the pool deck. This place is magic and I hate to even tell people about it because I wanna keep it a secret. But I do know that they have a new owner, and to that person I ask: please keep this resort with the same culture you found it with. It is incredible, very special, and super rare. Fabulous location, away from the crowds but close enough to walk to several restaurants, shops and markets, beaches and short golf cart ride to downtown.

My wife and I just spent 10 nights at Xanadu Island Resort and loved every minute of it! The resort is a tropical paradise right on the water. The staff, the rooms and the grounds are all AMAZING! It is a short and beautiful walk on the beach into town to many great restaurants and bars, and we loved watching the sunrise from the palapa at the end of the dock. This was our first time here but definitely won't be our last! Thankyou to all the staff for making our trip so wonderful, we can't wait to see you again!

A truly beautiful place. Easy access, excellent service, and dreamy rooms. I would definitely return.
