Papi Fun Bar

The place is awful. It feels like a seedy dive bar. The bathroom is terrible, with no doors and a nauseating smell that permeated the entire bar (and it's supposed to be semi-open). The worst part: there's no price list, the waiter is incredibly inattentive, I ask for the drink menu and he says there isn't one, I ask about specials and he says there aren't any either, so we order something: a 12 oz. glass of Malibu with pineapple and a 12 oz. glass of piña colada, 500 pesos. Seriously? I can understand the prices at a place with much more to offer, but at Papi's??? NOT RECOMMENDED

Guys, please don't come here. The waiter never brought us the menu, never gave us the bill, and then charged us 200 pesos for a beer. Terrible, and they usually have those prices on Mondays. Don't risk it.

I recommend asking about prices before ordering, because when we went they didn't give us prices, and they charge 200 for a liter of beer and 280 if it's with Clamato. I thought it was outrageous, it's a shame this place is getting such a bad reputation!

I got charged $70 for 2 vodka sprites - still not even sure how that was possible

They treated me like a thief; first they told me, "If it's the card thing, it's 20% more." I said yes, then they said, "It costs 3% more." I said yes again. Then they tried to convince me to pay by bank transfer, and when I told them I had a card, they became incredibly rude. Five years without going to Zona Rosa, and I find a place that segregates, insults, and discriminates. A terrible experience, especially considering it used to be one of the best places. How sad. One of the best cult nightclubs has lost its charm!

Papi Fun Bar is literally the definition of a tourist trap. They never show you a menu with prices, and everything seems designed to make you order without knowing the final cost. Two regular drinks ended up costing practically the same as going out to bars in Europe, which is completely absurd for the quality they offer. The most outrageous thing is that, in addition to the inflated prices, they still have the nerve to charge a commission for card payments, a ridiculous and abusive practice in 2026. If only the drinks were good or the service stood out… but no: low-quality alcohol, unclear bills, and a constant feeling that they're trying to squeeze money out of you at any cost. Seeing other people's reviews, it seems this isn't an isolated case. Many people complain about the exact same thing: hidden prices, misleading promotions, and unexpected extra charges. It's a place that thrives more on taking advantage of people than on offering a good experience. There are hundreds of better bars in Mexico City where at least you know how much you're going to pay before ordering a drink.

Severely overpriced for tourists. Wish we read the reviews before coming. Paid $1400 for 4 vodka sodas. They claimed at the end that it was grey goose but it certainly didn’t taste like it. We couldn’t find our server then saw him sleeping outside.

Terrible service. To begin with, they don't have an official price list; they charge whatever they want. The staff excuses themselves by saying yes, it costs what they say, without showing any price chart. As soon as you ask to see the prices, security shows up and forces you to pay, in a very rude manner. It's no wonder they have such a bad rating. Besides all that, the place isn't even attractive; there's nothing around that would draw more people in. Just a few meters away, there are places with much friendlier people, a better atmosphere, and better music. In short, they act all friendly at first, and then this is what happens…

They charge foreigners double. Be mindful.
