Café De Tacuba

Nothing out of the ordinary, in fact I found it quite expensive for the dishes they offer.

The experience began with a Tacuba-style hot chocolate, whisked with a molinillo until it reached a thick froth, accompanied by freshly baked sweet bread and traditional biscuits with fresh cream. For the main course, the Tacuba enchiladas or the emblematic mole poblano are must-tries. The mole stands out for its velvety texture and that masterful blend of chiles, spices, and a subtle bitter touch of cacao that perfectly complements the tender chicken. Each bite delivers the exact recipe that has captivated generations of diners. The staff wears the traditional uniform with elegance and maintains a timeless service: attentive, extremely polite, and with impeccable knowledge of the menu.

The food tastes good, the service is good, but the price is above average for the area.

This place was recommended to us, but it wasn't what we expected. Very basic dishes and mediocre service.

The food is good, although I don't think it's spectacular, given the prices they charge, which are somewhat high.

It's a typical tourist trap. It's a rip-off, don't go. The prices are outrageous for tiny portions that taste awful. Their specialty is the Tacuba enchiladas; they were horrendous. The enchilada tortillas tasted like those pre-packaged Mission tortillas with preservatives. The tamales were bad too. The only good thing was the sparkling orange soda. Avoid going at all costs; go to El Cardenal or anywhere else but this place. Horrible.
