Casa Cupula Gay Friendly Boutique Hotel

We love this hotel! Our first stay in April, 2025 was so relaxing and romantic, we booked a longer stay for December. Unfortunately we won't be able to return definitely until December, 26, that is, unless I can convince mi media naranja to travel there in September. Like I said, we love this hotel.

Overall we were thrilled to stay at Casa Cupula The entire staff was friendly and helpful. We had a suite which was clean and very spacious with a great view. Lots of room amenities. The pool parties were incredibly enjoyable. Breakfast was tasty although service was slow (45 min to get breakfast served). Location is on a steep hill and not safe to walk as there is no sidewalk so plan on taking Ubers. Great value since we got a special seasonal discount. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing time at Casa Cúpula. From start to finish, the staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming—they truly made us feel at home. Our room was ultra spacious and had everything we needed. We especially loved the shower! The location of our room was perfect—quiet and relaxing, yet still very accessible to all areas of the property. The gym was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. Even though we didn’t use it, the staff was very welcoming and gave us a full tour, which we appreciated. The Pool Club was definitely a highlight—such a fun and vibrant atmosphere. It’s truly the place to be in Vallarta, especially for the LGBTQ+ community. As a gay couple, we felt completely welcomed, and we even made new friends from all over the world. The food and drinks were excellent, and the service was always on point. The concierge and overall team made our first trip to Vallarta smooth, comfortable, and memorable. The property is very well maintained—you can tell the staff takes pride in every detail. The infinity pool is a gem. We spent time there enjoying the views and tranquility—absolutely stunning. Location-wise, it’s super convenient—close to an Oxxo, pharmacies, and just a short walk to Zona Romántica. We loved walking there every morning and exploring the restaurants, shops, and everything Vallarta has to offer. Casa Cúpula will definitely be our go-to stay on our next trip to Puerto Vallarta. Highly recommended!

I had the pleasure of attending a fantastic art and dinner event at Casa Cupula, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The group seating created a warm, social atmosphere, making it easy and enjoyable to connect with others throughout the evening. The service was exceptional from start to finish, and the thoughtfully curated food and wine pairings elevated the entire event. The art on display was outstanding and added a unique, inspiring layer to the night. Casa Cupula is the perfect venue for events like this—beautiful, welcoming, and creatively stimulating. I highly recommend it and would absolutely attend again.

Not transparent pricing. Poor drinks. Small pool

A traveler’s experience reveals the truth of an establishment, and Casa Cúpula revealed theirs. I made the responsible decision to cancel my trip during an active safety incident in Puerto Vallarta. Instead of professionalism, I received hostility, projection, and retaliatory behavior from the owner, Don Pickens. When I asserted my rights clearly and respectfully, he labeled me “aggressive” and “threatening,” which reflects his own energy, not mine. The refund was eventually processed, though only after unnecessary hostility. When I responded with clarity, his server immediately blocked my email — further confirming the pattern of avoidance and retaliation. The last time I stayed at this hotel, I was sick for the final two days. This time, a cartel incident unfolded on the exact days I was scheduled to arrive. That alignment was divine intervention protecting me from returning to a place that no longer resonates with integrity. Hospitality requires humility, respect, and accountability. What you send into the world returns multiplied. Casa Cúpula has forgotten that truth. Travelers deserve better.

On Sundays the person on the microphone yells and babbles for a couple of hours. This is so disruptive to a nice quiet time in the Amapas area. Get rid of the guy on the microphone, he has a very irritating voice and I am sure the other residents in the Amapas area do not appreciate that microphone blaring for a couple of hours on a nice Sunday when trying to enjoy your own home and your own terrace.

This is our 4th year coming up to Casa Cupula while we are in PV. We come to the pool here because the service is outstanding and very attentive. They treat us like family and are very welcoming. They always have a table ready for us during the pool parties. Lalo is just fantastic and the staff always take care of us! Shout out to the servers Noel, Miguel, Paul & Eduardo! Thank you for making our vacation special and memorable! We will always return!!
