Zipolite’s first gay bar and our favorite in town for over 5+ years! Now nudist every night from 8-11p when doors close. The owner Vincent and his team are friendly, fun, and respectful. Very welcoming place and super easy to meet locals and fellow travelers whether single, couple or group of friends.

It's an excellent and very innovative place, but we had a horrible experience. Around 11 pm, I don't know if the owner was having a bad day, but he started kicking everyone out in a very despotic, aggressive, and even threatening way, boasting that he was the owner. No one should tolerate this kind of treatment. I would never go back to this place.

Everyone was naked as soon as they walked in the door! Bartender and customers. Lively atmosphere, excellent cocktails, easy to meet new people and have conversation under the watchful eye of Vincent, the owner who designed and decorated the bar. Two very pleasant evenings.

Great atmosphere, great service. The big BUT (in capital letters) is that they try to act all high and mighty by not selling beer. Terrible in that respect, but otherwise very good.

An American refused to sell me a beer; they're only allowed to sell 12 per night. It's ridiculous, and the American was pathetic.

We were in pairs and they told us we had to get naked by 8 pm or else leave. I thought it was in bad taste because we were playing Jenga. Incredibly, they didn't let my friend enjoy it. I felt harassed.

Great bar. Great people and great concept.

This was one of the most unsure places I've walked into (as a straight couple). The reviews previously indicated that they were hostile towards straight people, and my fear is that this was a location for gay persons only, and our presence would infringe upon their safe space. Once we opened the gate, we were so wrong. It was a quiet evening, and we sat by ourselves at a table. The staff immediately walked over, explained the venue (explained that tonight was clothing optional, but other nights were naked mandatory), and gave us a drink menu. Honestly, the drinks we had were mediocre (likely our fault for what we ordered), but the entire experience was one that I wish we did much earlier. The staff kept walking over to us, checking in, and having really great conversations. We stayed clothed (as did the staff), but felt no judgement or concerns at all. We ended up leaving after one drink (I think I had too much sun that day), but wish we stayed longer and saw the bar when it was busy. Can't wait to go back!
