Artists in the Afternoon: Writing Our Own Narrative

The Esteem Awards LGBTQ & People of Color Epiphany Arts Foundation presents Artists in the Afternoon: Writing Our Own Narrative, an afternoon bringing Atlanta’s writers, authors, filmmakers, producers, actors, and emerging storytellers together for conversations about representation, creative ownership, and the power of telling our own stories.
The event will feature Rasheed Newson, writer, producer, and author of There’s Only One Sin in Hollywood, known for Bel-Air and The Chi. Newson will participate in a Film, TV & New Media conversation and a special book signing.
Artists in the Afternoon is designed to create meaningful connections among Atlanta’s creative community while highlighting the importance of ensuring diverse voices have opportunities to shape and share their own narratives.
