Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center

My family and I had an amazing time at Gaylord Rockies Resort! The property is beautiful, with stunning views of the Rockies, and it never felt overcrowded despite having so much to do. There were activities for everyone, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Before our trip, I was a little concerned after reading reviews about expensive food and unfriendly staff. While the food is definitely on the pricey side, that's pretty common everywhere these days and the quality and convenience made it worth it. More importantly, every staff member we interacted with was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and are already planning our next visit. We can't wait to come back!

Didn’t stay here but went to the Deka here. It was a blast! Such a cool venue.

The place is a fortress! To much cost to even park just to check out the place. Plus, it's like a maze for the parking. That's ok, I guess they don't need my money.

Overall fantastic experience at the GAYLORD Rockies in June of 2026. I've been in a few GAYLORDs over the years and this one did not disappoint. In terms of the location, obviously it is very close to the airport so in a way this is perfect. However, it is also a good 1 hour-ish drive to get downtown. So if your schedule is kind of tight, as was mine, it does make it difficult to experience much of actual Denver. Nonetheless can't complain - it's nice to be that close to the airport both for arrival and departure. The area it is located seems to be all relatively new development in terms of residential, commercial etc. The room was great! Very clean, spacious, comfortable. Great shower - again very clean upon arrival. Bed was supremely comfortable; I requested extra pillows and there were many to be found so assume that was adhered to. In general zero complaints about the hotel side of the GAYLORD Rockies. Lots going on in the resort. I didn't have time to experience the pool or lazy river or spa etc. but did have a chance to take a look and everything looked great. The main bar (Embers Lodge Bar) is spacious and inviting as soon as you walk in. With towering, vaulted ceilings and lots of seating, it's a great place for a drink before and after dinner. I was there for a conference and that experience was fantastic as well. The staff were excellent in all areas - lunch was deliciously prepared, the bartenders during the reception were great, and the social evening at the end of our event was very nicely executed. A large outdoor area was secured for us and the sunset over the mountains in the early evening was perfect! Overall very good experience - my third year in a row in a GAYLORD and looking forward to what next year will bring!

Response to Owner: I would love for you to post the results from the ecolab inspection here. I have been in contact with the Marriott claims adjuster regarding the ecolab inspection and per our last correspondence, he had yet to receive a copy of the inspection. Bed Bug PSA: I wanted to put this PSA out there for anyone staying at Gaylord Rockies. My family and I started our mini summer vacay there on Saturday May 30 and we woke up to bed bugs in our room Sunday morning. I have been a loyal Marriott member, so I scooped up the bug in a cup with water, brought it to the front desk and assumed since the rooms are over $500 a night that we would be taken care of and treated with dignity and respect. We were not. The manager (Alex) refused to speak to me twice and sent the security manager (Antwan) to deal with me instead. He essentially said I can't be sure it was a bed bug but that he was sure it was a tick from my dog. When I asked for the bug back to consult a pest control professional he lied and said it was sent to their engineer to give to their ecolab team. When I asked them to bring up the engineer and asked him for the bug he was honest and up front that management would not provide it to him. The security manager then had to admit that the disposed of the live bed bug I gave to them. So I brought up a dead one that was on the desk in our room and he crumpled it up in the paper I provided, turned it to dust, and then put the paper and dead bug remains in his pocket. We obviously cut our stay short and left the same day, but I know not everyone has that option. So for any of you staying, please do not make the same mistake I made in trusting the Marriott name. If you find a bed bug, follow these instructions and DO NOT SURRENDER YOUR PROOF BECAUSE THEY WILL DESTROY IT: You are legally entitled to a full refund if a hotel room has bed bugs. Because hotels are required to maintain basic hygiene, most properties will refund your stay rather than risk a bad review, a lawsuit, or a health department investigation. The most effective way to secure a refund and protect yourself involves taking a few critical steps: 1. Gather Immediate Evidence Before moving or unpacking, take clear, well-lit photos and videos of the bugs, your bites, and the mattress seams. If possible, trap a specimen in a sealed bag or container. Without clear proof, staff may mistakenly attribute your bites to mosquitoes or other insects. 2. Secure Your Luggage Bed bugs can easily travel home in your suitcases. Move your bags away from the bed and upholstered furniture, and seal anything that was exposed in plastic bags. 3. Demand a Refund and Relocation Notify management, present your evidence, and demand an immediate, full refund for your room. Request to be moved to a clean room, but do not assume a neighboring room is entirely safe, as infestations often spread. 4. Escalate to Corporate or Dispute the Charge If the local hotel management refuses to issue a refund, contact the corporate customer service line.

My sister's highschool graduation ceremony was held here. It was a beautiful venue with plenty of seating for all of the parents.

Nice space, bad location if you want to be near anything relevant. Also you cant talk to anyone on the phone.- only the "chatbot" - super annoying. They also will not clean your room unless asked each day which is also super frustrating.

We just got home from our staycation during the Super Hero summer! I’m so sad to be home and can’t wait to come back! We have a 1 and 2 year old and genuinely enjoyed our time. The resort is GORGEOUS, we have never stayed here before and were blown away. Service was amazing, the water park was phenomenal and I love that they have life vests for my toddlers! The lazy river is great for all of us to float around as a family and one day we rented a cabana! The super hero summer activities are very fun, and add to the magic of your staycation! The food at all the restaurants is delicious and we loved roasting marshmallows by the fire! Truly this was such a great experience and we cannot wait to book our next staycation at the Gaylord Rockies Resort!

This Marriott Gaylord does NOT deliver on its commitment. Really disappointing stay with several issues including being overcharged. These issues go unresolved, despite being reported. Really unfortunate as this is a beautiful resort property, where the service doesn’t align with the pricing.
