Hotel The Grove

The front lobby staff and the restaurant staff were as good as I’ve ever encountered and I was traveling to Western United States for the past 30+ years staying at many different hotels, and this group was as good as any of them and better than most. The front end, Ambassador Shawn was absolutely incredible with his hospitality and kindness. I would definitely recommend staying here if given the opportunity to stay in Boise.

The Grove is my favorite place to stay in Boise. The staff is helpful and friendly. The hotel is clean, comfortable and well maintained. The location is just about perfect being across the street from Basque Square, walking distance to Yoi Tomo and Goldie’s and many other fun bars/restaurants downtown. The bar and restaurant on site are quite good, and are a viable option even if you are not staying at the hotel.

Update: I dropped another star because sadly, this hotel has jumped in the bandwagon of requiring key cards to access the elevators, one of the most useless trend in hospitality. Excellent downtown location and attractive rooms. Has nice touches like the eco-soap (pictured below) although a better ecological option is what Marriott hotels are changing to: no more sample size shampoos and conditioners; they will all be in dispensers. I would have given this place 4 stars if not for the poor sound insulation ( a VERY common problem with most hotels--they spend lavishly on public spaces and fitness centers but neglect the one big thing that people do the most in hotels: SLEEP). My room faces the major intersection in town and the traffic noise is significant. If not for my heavy duty earplugs, I would not have gotten a good night's sleep.

I can’t speak to the rooms because I didn’t stay the night but, I was at the hotel for my daughter’s graduation and used one of the suites. I’d like to recognize an employee named Sean who went above and beyond. When we first arrived at the Grove Hotel Sean greeted us with a warm smile and showed us where to go. After the graduation I left without my purse and called to see if someone could locate it. With no luck or help I decided to drive back. Sean again was a friendly employee that helped me locate my purse where I had known it was. After other employees telling me they did a full sweep and not listening to where I said it was, Sean gave me the piece of mind and walked me back to the suite where I found my purse. I will stay at this hotel just because I know he is there running things. Thank you Sean

Wants to be a high end hotel but is not. Disrespectful staff, especially the manager. Cleaning staff are everywhere and seem to be on some visa that doesnt require acting civilized, they were spitting on the floor, loitering without working and one touched my kid at one point. Pool is insanely hard to find and there are no signs. It is in a gym that they sell memberships to to the public.

We made a great choice with the Grove Hotel and greatly enjoyed our stay! The service was outstanding, every team member was so nice and accommodating. The valet service was prompt, the bed was very comfortable and the food at Trillium was very good. I was also very impressed with their gym. It had a great selection of equipment/weights and a lap pool. My only critique would be that the shower pressure was poor and would intermittently go from bad to worse. 4.5/5

Id give the service 7 stars if possible they go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable!

This is the most beautiful modern hotel in the Boise downtown area. The fitness center is a complete gym for the athletic folks. Security is a top priority and your valuables will be safe in the room safe, and behind the locked door. The mattress is really comfortable, furthermore it's a really quiet environment. Complimentary water bottles. Free wifi The cathedral, Morrison center, state capitol are in walking distance. The customer service is fantastic A secure and safe parking lot. The hotel has as restaurant , ice machines, a laundry room & dry cleaning service.

Awesome hotel and in heart of downtown. Close to river greenbelt, zoo and capital.

Newly remodeled. Excellent kind prompt service all at times. Front desk staff and concierge are unmatched! Free purified water of all sorts on each floor. The hotel offers free bikes first come first serve to guests, and the location is right by the Greenbelt, great recreation opportunity- fyi Trader Joe's is across the street...Percy Steakhouse is walking distance with amazing food,Idaho grass fed beef and tallow fries. Beautiful fish steak and Wagu Burgers.
