The Addison On Amelia Island

Ron & Lisa are amazing hosts. Finally got to go back to celebrate our anniversary (albeit a little late) as we spent our honeymoon there 4 years ago. The inn is impeccably clean. The rooms very spacious and comfortable. The breakfasts are true gourmet meals. You won’t get anything like it any where else. Very good coffee. And our favorite time of day is the social/happy hour at 5pm on the patio before dressing for dinner, which is a short walk just down the street. The location is so nice and we pretty much walked everywhere except for the day at the beach. It’s so close to the farmers market, very nice restaurants, cute little boutiques and live music. It’s a little expensive but it’s worth saving up for as you will feel pampered and relaxed and if you need anything at all, just let them know! They’ll be right on it! We can’t wait to go back and hope to before another 4 years!!! Thanks Lisa and Ron for another memorable stay!

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Addison. It was located in the historic downtown with great shopping and our favorite restaurants. The owners were very accommodating and friendly. The breakfasts were divine and the grounds were beautiful! We will definitely be staying there on our next trip to Fernandina!

We loved our stay at this beautiful and charming property. The rooms are very well appointed with plush towels and high quality super comfy pillows and linens. We enjoyed the complimentary bikes and the lovely breakfast on the outside patio hosted by friendly owners Lisa and Ron. Their hospitality was perfect and their sweet pup Sandy added some extra magic to our wonderful stay!

Beautiful property managed by very friendly and professional owners Ron and Lisa and their lovely black lab, Sandy. Five stars all around, from the lovely appointed rooms to the delicious breakfasts cooked by Lisa. Already looking forward to our next stay when visiting Amelia Island.

This B&B is in a beautiful location, we enjoyed staying in the historic area close to restaurants and a short walk from the marina. We were welcomed warmly and shown to our large ground floor room. Overall it is a nice establiment and offers a lot of extras including Anniversary and other special occasion extras. It is very nice that they offer beach umbrellas, chairs, and towells no need to lug our own. Our large ground floor room very nice except for the bed which had a slight hump and was a little firm. The bathroom was nice except for a slight amount of mold around the tub which can be expected in a humid environment. I did try the soaking tub, but was disappointed when what appeared to be mold came out of the jets. I was not a big fan of the breakfast, the portions were quite small with a few pieces of fruit and overcooked breakfast enchilada on our first day and eggy French toast casserole with one slice of bacon the second day. The best part of this breakfast was was the tiny quiche and muffin. Not what i expected from the description of a three course breakfast. We opted to eat elsewhere on our last day.

What a lovely stay! The Addison on Amelia Island is one of those places that feels special the minute you arrive. The inn itself is charming, unique and beautifully maintained, and our room was spotless, quiet, and incredibly comfortable. The owners were warm, attentive, and struck that perfect balance of making us feel welcome while giving us plenty of space to relax. And the breakfasts were thoughtful and absolutely delectable! Another huge plus is the location. We loved being able to walk to all the wonderful shops and restaurants in historic Fernandina Beach and simply enjoy the area without worrying about driving. If you're looking for a place with character, comfort and genuine hospitality, The Addison is a true gem. We left relaxed, happy and already talking about coming back!

My husband and I stayed at the Addison on Amelia Island for a weekend getaway. We loved every minute. Ron and Lisa were very attentive. Their passion for hospitality spoke highly as they welcomed us in and told us the history of the place. Breakfast was beautifully served and they offered a happy hour at 5pm. Location is perfectly located within walking distance of many bars and restaurants and a short 8 minute drive to the beach.

Ron and Lisa at the Addison were exceptional host! They made all of our reservations, the breakfasts were amazing and the social hour was great meeting others staying at the B&B. Our trip couldn't have been more enjoyable! We will definitely be back. Thank you Ron and Lisa!

Wonderful B&B...innkeepers are so sweet and really care about your needs. Rooms were spotless, had every necessity you could think of. Great location! Highly recommend!!

Ron and Lisa were wonderful hosts! When we travel to a bed-and-breakfast, it’s so important to us that the owners be present. It makes such a difference to the overall experience when the owners are also the innkeepers, living on site, offering tips as a local resident, not only welcoming you to their property but also having you as a guest in their home. Being there is not just a “job” for them - it’s their lifestyle! Pre-visit communication was excellent, letting us know by email and by text what we should expect at the inn (amenities like beach towels, beach chairs, bicycles and even coolers we could borrow!) a link to Island activities and providing us with their easy late arrival protocol since our flight landed early evening. The inn’s downtown / historic district location was perfect. It was an easy walk to some really wonderful restaurants, and the inn’s immediate neighbors included both private residences and other small inns. We enjoyed seeing so many beautiful homes in the neighborhood. The beach (our main reason for choosing Amelia Island) was about a 10 minute drive away, and in Florida beach parking is free - kind of a shocker coming from New England! The property itself was very well cared for and lovely. A brick walkway led us be the interior courtyard which was so peaceful, with many plantings and fountains. Our first impression of our guest room was of the lovely furnishings, soft colors and its spaciousness. High ceilings, lots of windows, a comfy chair, a desk in case you have to work a bit while on vacation, and plenty of hanging and drawer space were much appreciated! The king size bed and bed pillows were also very comfortable, allowing for a good night’s sleep. The breakfasts were very nice, and freshly prepared, alternating between Sweet and Savory main courses each day, and accompanied by either fresh fruit or a savory mini first course like their yummy mini quiches or hash brown muffins on a “sweet main” day. As a former Innkeeper myself, I can say that these folks have it down! Overall, a very nice stay, we highly recommend, and we will be back!
