Amway Grand Plaza, Curio Collection by Hilton

This was my first time staying at the Amway Grand Plaza in Grand Rapids, and I was thoroughly impressed. The hotel was stunning, from the beautiful water fountain to the cozy lounge area. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Quick check in, very friendly staff. Only disappointment was most restaurants and shops were closed. One that was open was a 2.5 hour wait. There were many events happening, so one would think that restaurants would be open.

Don't stay here. The room is ok. It would be better but when you show up at 4pm for check in and tell me there is no rooms available. Then tell us we need to wait. A hour later we walk back to the counter for them to tell us our room was ready without telling us or calling us. They even don't tell you sorry for the wait.

We come for the outsiders and chose this hotel so we would have easy access almost $400 a night with paying for the parking we checked in at 4 o’clock. They didn’t have a room told us to sit down. They would get a hold of us as soon as the room was available watched a whole bunch of people check in. We sat there and sat there, and finally went up to the desk after an hour of waiting they’re like oh yeah here’s your keys in the room is mediocre. Doesn’t even have a good TV. I probably would never come back to this hotel best Western is much much better in my opinion.

All the restaurants are amazing! The room was clean and comfy.

We started off by getting hit in the parking garage of the hotel. Once we got in we told someone what happened and they immediately looked into it and gave us free parking for our troubles. Then the room we were put in had vomit on the floor. We were moved out of there. Then the spcustomer service people cooked again and UPGRADED us to a SUITE! We got the suite for 4 days then had to move to another room for someone else who had already booked the suite but the hotel staff were amazing, 2nd best I’ve seen which is 2nd to Steam’s support

Absolutely beautiful hotel. The service in ever area was amazing! Perfect downtown location.

On Friday, June 2026, This location has lost site of the details. The did not have a bell person on duty until 10 am, I called at 0630 hrs,on the day of a checkout for a very large conference. (Over 800 rooms rented), So, as a 100% DAV, I have to walk down to the lobby, retrieve the luggage cart , go back up to my room, and then back down to the front of the of the hotel to only find out that there was only one valet to retrieve vehicles. After the wait, and having to load my on luggage, I was very tired and disappointed. This was at 0700 hours. At least 10 other people were waiting to leave. We all had appointments to get to. My room had a "Nat" infestation that I did report to management, and dirty coffee machine and chair. They did send up a replacement chair. I have been to this location over 10 times, in the years leading up to this visit, and never had the service deteriorate to this level.

We first got a room that we did not like at all but Priscilla went above and beyond to help us out! Very thankful for her kindness and help

We had a wonderful experience at the Amway Grand Plaza. The venue is absolutely beautiful, with stunning architecture and elegant details throughout the building. There are plenty of amenities on-site, making it convenient for guests and event attendees alike. The event spaces are spacious and accommodate gatherings comfortably. One of the best features is that the building itself provides so much character and beauty that very little additional décor is needed. If you’re looking for a gorgeous venue with excellent facilities and a memorable atmosphere, this is an outstanding choice. We, Studio EKJ had the honor to bring our Photo Booth setup to a wedding reception at this location and the staff was great to work with.
