The Southernmost Inn

I booked on Priceline and there was nothing on website about amenity fees, but when I arrived they told me I needed to pay an additional $45. This includes amenities and late start "breakfast" (breakfast is advertised as "complimentary" but it's not). This should have been clearly stated on website. $30. parking fee not stated as well. Bait and switch? When you upcharge me expect to be scrutinized. I took wet tissue to the hard floors and sure enough floors haven't been washed. As a matter of fact they were filthy! The beauty of hard floors is they are easy to clean or you would think, right? Washing the floors is basic cleaning 101 so imagine what else hasn't been done! I don't recommend this hotel with all the other options on the island.

I’ve stayed at the Southernmost Inn several times over the years, and it continues to be one of my favorite places to stay in Key West. Let’s get the only negative out of the way first: I’m never thrilled about resort fees, and parking at $30 per night isn’t exactly a bargain. That said, once I settle in and start enjoying everything the property has to offer, I quickly remember why I keep coming back. The rooms are always clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The property features two swimming pools and a hot tub, which are perfect after a long day of exploring the island. The complimentary breakfast is a nice bonus, and I appreciate having coffee and tea available throughout the day. What really makes the Southernmost Inn stand out, however, is the location. You simply can’t beat it. You’re within easy walking distance of Duval Street, the Southernmost Point, and some of the best restaurants in Key West. One of my favorite restaurants anywhere in the world, Louie’s Backyard, is just a short walk away. In fact, once I park my car, I rarely need it again. Everything I want to see, do, eat, or photograph is within walking distance. That’s a huge advantage in Key West. The atmosphere is relaxed, tropical, and exactly what I look for when visiting the island. It feels like a true Key West getaway rather than a generic hotel experience. Five stars. Would I prefer lower parking fees? Absolutely. Would I stay here again anyway? Without hesitation. The location, amenities, and overall experience make it one of the best values I’ve found in Key West.

Nice service and excellent place

This place is pretty cool. We had our own cabin, which was small but comfortable. They have 2 nice pools with one of them being heated. Overall we enjoyed our 2 night stay. The only reason for the 1 star was because the woman at the desk when we got here earlier than the check-in time was EXTREMELY rude.

Very poor customer service. My fiancé and I booked a trip that had to be cancelled last minute due to a medical emergency (visit to the OR). After multiple calls over two days we finally were able to get in contact with the inn and after explaining the situation, the manager took no consideration and continued to cite their policies and provide no refund ($1500) or even a future credit, which we would have happily done at the time. I understand policies, but being in the hospitality industry, these are the types of scenarios where you can really separate yourself with good customer service. Instead of gaining a loyal customer, you lost one for life and potentially others. Terrible experience all around.

No parking for guest additional $68.00 per night, Rude staff, Free breakfast untill 11:00am at 10:20 they picked up evrything and left us at the table with nothing not even a napkin never again.

My wife and I booked a stay here for one night using an online booking site. Before we checked in, we read the Google reviews and got concerned but stuck with it, without issue. The reviews seem to swing wildly based on what room you're in and how much you paid. Our rate was relatively low (in April) and our room (314) was great. I think the rooms in the old house are the ones with the most concerns. That said, the location is great. Close to Duval, and the southermost point. You can walk just about anywhere. They also have bikes for rent, but we didn't. The rooms are a bit small and I would have liked a folding rack to sit my suitcase, but that's it. There's no room for a table, but lots of common space to eat or sit. Others said the ACs were noisy. They're all window units or mini splits. Common for a hotel. We prefer a fan on, so no complaints there either. If you're expecting a full service resort experience, I'd book a resort. If you want someplace to sleep with a great location and some historic charm, you should be fine.

This hotel is perfectly situated in a quiet part of the island. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was small but the bed was comfortable. I would definitely stay here again

Location is perfect ! Middle of everything. However where do I start. The room was old wore down and extremely small and tight. The halls were dirty never swept. The shower head wasn’t working it was just leaking water. I mean I paid for 3 nights 1000$ but damn like I didn’t realize how bad this inn was they’re really on the struggle bus over there

The property is in bad condition. The balcony door would not shut and it was 46° outside. Also, the room smelled of a terrible mold problem. They are still holding $550 of my deposit. Off to court we go.
