Can't leave your laundry for a second by its self without someone stilling it. They do not help you recover your belongings. It's coach infested and I'm a very clean person

This place sucks. My mother came to visit and had a heart attack. Twice.

Lived her in 2002. Was a very interesting place. The amazing ballroom they have hosted the Academy Awards way back in the early 1930’s I was told.

This Hotel is now controlled by Social Services, LADPSS. The hallways remind you of scenes from "The Shining", I keep looking for those twins to show up.

I remember wondering all thru this place back in the late 90s they used to throw raves in the ball room

I have lived here for 1 year and 1 month. I am on a fixed income. I really like living here. Everything is centrally located. My single is small, currently on the waiting list for a 1 bedroom. The building is historic dating back to 1906....Many people mention problems with roaches..If you don't want roaches..keep your apt. Clean, don't leave dirty dishes in the sink overnight..and have a regiment where you spray regularly for bugs. I do this once a week with black Flag.. If you drop food on the Floor . Clean it up. I have no problems with bugs. The people who live here are very eclectic and come from many walks of life, Deal with it! Building has great maintenance staff..Things are fixed immediately. Great cleaning staff that clean every floor daily. The one negative. Pershing Square Metro Station is half a block away..there is some homeless traffic between the subway station to the homeless encampments down on Skid Row. I don't bother them and they don't bother me! Many people have mention that they don't allow homeless people in the building as a negative. 24 hour security is doing a great job! If you don't live here, you have no business being here!
