Lafitte Hotel & Bar (ex-Lafitte Guest House)

Amazing location right on Bourbon Street! We stayed in the upper apartment across the street from the hotel with a balcony overlooking Bourbon street. It was perfect for putting kids to bed (on the sofa bed) and having a drink on the balcony while watching the action and night life. Our unit also had a jacuzzi tub but we didn't use it. Note that being on Bourbon street it was NOISY pretty much all the time, but was great to be so close to everything. The piano bar in the lobby was well enjoyed by our family and is kid friendly, Kristen the pianist is amazing. We would stay here again.

So we did get a very small room for an expensive price which I wasn't fully expecting because the site i made the reservation from said double bed when we entered the room it was one bed that we could look and see a balcony but couldn't enter, and there was trash from a previous stay under the bed as well and we also couldn't get the tv in the room to work due to it wasn't connected to internet and the internet password they gave us didn't work.... but the service was amazing when we checked in and checked out, Brennan really helped us out because when i had made the reservation didn't say anything about parking except that they had parking but it is no in or out and they do ask for the key, but Brennan did let us go because we had lucked out and were on the end so we made it to our event, but finding help during the stay was a bit difficult to find a person at the front desk and we asked for extra trash bags and the person refused and didn't say anything back to us. But the location of it was amazing with it being in the French quarter and on bourbon, were able to walk to riverside no problem, just wish the room had been bigger and the internet actually worked

Loved staying here. Awesome family owned and run hotel. Friendly staff, great bar, great location. We will be back!

This hotel needs a full renovation and new management. We found that it lacked the basic necessities of a hotel in most ways.

hot water , electricity , and hvac issus. Needless to say , we won’t be back.

Only leaving 1 star because 0 is not an option. This is the second time within a month we have gone into this bar for a drink and the bartender was EXTREMELY rude. We said hello when we walked in and he just looked at us and turned around as if we weren’t there. We were the only people in the bar area. Finally after asking several questions, with no response, we left. If you don’t like your job, quit and find something you like because customer service is definitely not your profession.

had a great stay here and really enjoyed everything about it. The room was beautiful, very clean, and the balcony had such a nice view. It was a great place to relax and unwind. The location was also perfect. Super convenient and close to everything we needed. The staff was available 24/7 and were all so sweet and helpful whenever we needed anything. Everyone was friendly and informative, which made the stay even better. There’s also a really nice bar downstairs that we enjoyed. Overall, I truly loved my stay and would absolutely recommend this hotel. I’d definitely stay here again.

We were really disappointed with our stay. We ended up overpaying for a very small room, and the photos online look nothing like what we actually got. Honestly, it felt a bit like a scam. Checkout was another headache—we waited an incredibly long time, and it wasn’t just us. Several other guests were stuck waiting as well, all of us trying to catch flights. The room conditions were also uncomfortable. It was loud outside, the temperature was terrible, and our group couldn’t get comfortable at all—our friends were freezing while we were too hot. The only option provided was a broken box fan that barely worked and was nearly as loud as the street noise. We typically love historic or older properties and understand the quirks that come with them, but this experience didn’t feel charming or authentic—just unpleasant. Unfortunately, this stay missed the mark in almost every way. Two pros: Location was good, and the view from the balcony was pretty.

Didn’t stay here, didn’t purchase a drink. BUT. My tour guide recommended I stop here to use the bathroom on a chilly night. Y’ALL. The toilet seat was heated. Also the bar vibes were fun.

While the place is beautiful, the Bartenders are rude. Not friendly at all, especially on Halloween. One bartender was stone faced and didn't know how to make a Gimlet. Pretty simple. Lime juice, not Rose's Lime - it taste like a glass of sugar. Also, smile a little!

Delightful and fun bar area with live singing and sharp piano music. This venue was a fun part of my trip.

Terrible experience. Do not hand over your car keys if you ever do stay here. They took my brand new vehicle for their “valet parking”. When I checked out my vehicle had been moved and had a scratched rear fender. No one at the facility provided any assistance, essentially I was told by hotel staff and NOLA PD that there was nothing that could be done. Not even sure where they took my car but it had extra mileage and was filthy. Never again. Cannot trust people in this world any longer.
