The gals that work here are fabulous! Dai was amazing she went over and above and was beyond helpful. Chelsea was extremely sweet and helpful as well. You will be taken care of here they made my check in and extending my stay super easy! I would absolutely stay here again. Thank you ladies!!

Rooms were very clean and had all of the necessities in a hotel room. Service was top notch with Dai taking care of everything needed and any complaints.

Very nice hotel and a very nice place to stay. The workers were very nice, especially Dai. She was very nice and a very good person that NEEDS to get a raise because she is very good at what she does.

The room was located directly across from the kitchen, and unfortunately every morning the kitchen door is propped open while staff talk and prepare breakfast. Beginning around 6:00 a.m., you can clearly hear pans banging, washed and conversations echoing down the hallway. I’m not sure why the kitchen needs vents (propped open with a can) directly into the hallway where guest rooms are located, but it makes it very difficult to sleep during the hours when they are preparing the “complimentary breakfast.” Another recurring issue was the room keys needing to be re-coded daily. When this happens you have to go to the front desk to get them fixed. If guests are checking in, you’ll wait while those check-ins are completed, which can take quite a while. It also felt like staff were irritated when guests needed assistance just to access their rooms. I also tried to purchase something from the small store in the lobby. It took nearly 10 minutes for the system to ring it up and process the transaction, which seemed frustrating for the staff as well. Lastly, not entirely the hotel’s fault, but the room had kids next door and heavy footsteps from the room above, so the overall noise level was not great. Overall, between the hallway noise from the kitchen, key card issues, and thin walls, the stay was not as comfortable as I had hoped

Absolutely the best place to stay in Newberg. The Staff is absolutely incredible and so welcoming that you might not want to leave. The place is very clean and the rooms are very large and so modern. The also serve a great breakfast every morning and the selection of foods is quite large. The fitness center is also awesome. Great machines and again very clean. So when picking a hotel this is hands down the best option that you should choose!

I would like to express my sincere appreciation for an exceptional individual at the front desk of the Holiday Inn Express Sitka, Dainene. She truly went above and beyond to assist with a situation involving my daughter, who was checking in based on a reservation I made from Florida. Given that I was across the country, Dainene stepped in and resolved the situation, even using her own funds to ensure the guest was well taken care of. Thank you for employing such an incredible person, someone who demonstrated compassion, kindness, understanding, and generosity. My daughter had just experienced a distressing situation that left her in tears and with heightened anxiety. Your outstanding employee was a true delight and a blessing, making her feel incredibly welcome at your hotel. Thank you, thank you, thank you! You will forever have my patronage, and I will enthusiastically recommend your establishment to everyone I share this story with.

Ashton the young man at the front desk was so helpful and caring. I was struggling with my bags. He was kind enough to bring them to my door. He got a few calls from me that night and was able to help me. Excellent!

Another great stay at an IHG property. The front desk gal was really nice, the property is very well kept, my king room was spacious, tidy with all the amenities you will need. There's plenty of parking and J's Restaurant right next door is a good dining option.

Business - everyone looked tired from the long weekend and events being held. They still hammered out solid customer service. Especially that young man in the restaurant. Younger gentleman black hair, worked Sunday. Good worker, polite and excellent customer service.

We’ve stayed at HIE-Newberg for years. From the birth of our grandchildren to many holidays. Each year we stay here for a minimum of 10 days. Generally, our stays have been good experiences….until this year. Staff seemed to be unresponsive to our request for a certain room, as it is always quiet. Unfortunately this visit was one of the most uncomfortable to date. Management sacrificed the comfort and peaceful rest for the “graduating” class from a nearby college. Other guests were rude enough, “stomping on the upper floors, slamming doors, and without question being bad neighbors”… our complaint fell on deaf ears. Revenue replaced hospitality this visit. This hotel is not the least expensive in the area, nor the most; so we are questioning why management and ownership values quantity of rooms booked versus guest comfort/experience? Housekeeping: Did not remove towels left on the bathroom floor, 2 out of 5 days. Maintenance: No iron in room during the 6 days. Light in bathroom has a short or defective bulb, (found it disturbing that it would flicker while bathing). Will we book here in the future? Let’s let the owner/management answer the review and ascertain our loyalty to this location. Stay tuned.
