However, some guests have reported issues with uncomfortable beds and a noisy location due to traffic, and a few experienced extremely rude and discriminatory treatment from management.

O tym miejscu The Bay Inn

The Bay Inn is a small mainstream motel on East Ocean View Avenue in Norfolk's Ocean View neighbourhood, facing the Chesapeake Bay beaches. It is gay-friendly in the ordinary sense, not a gay hotel; older listings placed it in Hampton, but it is in Norfolk. Rated 4.1 from 424 Google reviews. The bay beaches here are calmer and quieter than Virginia Beach's oceanfront. Downtown Norfolk and the Ghent neighbourhood, where most of the city's gay bars are, are about 15 minutes' drive. Book through a known platform or by phone; the listed website uses an unusual domain that may not be official.

This area where this motel is located is extremely noisy Although across the beach across the road the motel is not beach front. The owners a diverse couple with the husband leaning a bit intolerant to a darker shade of white even though his wife is Asian. Courtyard nice. No ice machine. Bed uncomfortable Television channels ample even had stations not allowed for viewing for each room. Security camera to each room. Room did not have a do not disturb sign. Out for a day owner went into room to exchange towels and empty main trash can.

Small, clean, quite, family owned and operated motel. We enjoyed our room/our stay and would stay again if we visit Norfolk again.

Simple, iconic retro hotel. Very clean rooms. Well maintained courtyard. Great location to the Chesapeake Bay, Norfolk and dining. Nice walking areas. Owner very welcoming! Zero problems! They even loaned us a wine opener for the evening. Parking ideal and close to entrances. Felt safe throughout our visit. We would stay again if in the area.

HORRRIBLE OWNER. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. NOT FRIENDLY AT ALL. APPARENTLY TREATS WIFE LIKE CRAP. CANT IMAGINE WHAT EVERYONE SEES SIMPLY BECAUSE OF THAT. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE. Workingthw closest local bar/ as a 30 year local, I would NEVER tell anyone to stay there.
