DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel North Charleston - Convention Center

This is reflective of Hilton chain and this location as well. As a regular and loyal customer who has had multiple stays across the last 2 years, and spent thousands of dollars I am very disappointed in how customer service is handled. When charged the full price of a room, the Hilton honors points and eligible stay should be counted towards your record. A room was cancelled in a timely manner, I was charged the full price of the room, and Hilton refuses to allocate the eligible points and stay associated with that. Terrible customer service. Please consider Marriott chain for regular hotel needs.

Stayed here for about 2 weeks in 228 and wanted to give a huge shoutout to Isabel for the best service! She greeted me by name every time we interacted and was always super accommodating. The little store in the lobby was always stocked with a variety of candy, snacks and drinks. They also had a few local business items in the shop as well. Miss Ramos was also very good at keeping all my towels and toiletries stocked everyday!

Cockroaches in the room, extremely rude and incompetent service, and a room door that stuck so badly we had to body-slam it multiple times just to get it open. It was not safe. I would never stay here again. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel.

Wonderful place for business meetings Appreciated all the staff who really were incredibly helpful. Special shout out to the breakfast staff and female bartender. I feel this has been a consistent experience with DoubleTree in Charleston overall. Special thank you to my housekeeper - V Lucas

Nice place, convenient location but expensive rooms. Has lobby bar. (I haven't seen one in years)

Stayed 10 nights as a Diamond member. Second night noticed a dirty bug in my room and notified staff, who reported it to their Management. (I HAVE A PHOTO) The night before I check out, I received a notification while at dinner that I had been checked out of my room, so I called the front desk, in which they stated "you didn't want to be checked out" ??? Nope! Which they then had to reinstate my room, later finding out the GM is the one who checked me out. As to why who knows, no explanation! NOT one person/manager offered to move my room, apologize or get in touch with me regarding the above issues. I even was forwarded an internal email regarding everything that happened by an employee. Thank you Barbara/night shift and Suzie/Bartender who were great along with the front desk manager Isabella.

I've been denied a room here twice over the past couple of months for multiple "technical" reasons after I've booked and paid over the phone /online. Was convenient because i work at the airport. There's other hotels on the area.

Tried to view a ball room to host an event and the front desk attendant was VERY uninformative and slightly rude. Standing with a drink in her hand and her greeting was dull. For that reason alone, I will book elsewhere 6 June 2026

The manager is really great and very helpful. Susie and Sylvia (they work at the bar) have been really great as well. The room is ok. The carpet in front of the AC unit is damp, the seal around the shower door leaks water, the drawers on the dresser are messed up and hard to close, and the ceiling has 5 holes drilled into it. There is paint on the tiles in the entry and drink stains on the wall by the table. I also found trash under the curtains and under the bed. I'm not complaining but this is not the best room i have stayed in with Hilton this year. I frequent this area monthly for 6 to 10 days at a time. So i spent allot of time with Hilton.
