This is indeed a very bare bones motel, though the pool looked nice. The Cons: *no bathroom soap *no bathroom water cup *no bathroom hooks *very low water pressure in sink and shower *hole in bathroom wall where I assume there used to be a hair dryer *hole in wall near bathroom door *no pole in closet to hang clothes on *no instructions on how to use TV - never did figure out how to use it *very loud AC unit, and it was the type that cycles on and off, waking one up every time it does so. Also, it failed to cool the room. *dirty finger prints on inside of front door *lots of areas of chipped paint *no vanity to place things in bathroom *poor lighting by bathroom mirror - wife had to put makeup on by back window *got a welcome email that dated back to Covid and its restrictions and contained wrong wifi password The Pros: *nice sheets *comfortable bed FYI, this was room 302.
While location of this resort is great, we shortened our stay due to the inadequacy of the facility. For the unit - Our shower did not work (no one came to fix), mold in the air conditioner, only one set of utensils and one glass in the kitchen, no paper towels and towels are so small they do not even fit around a small 9 year old. In addition, the amenities left a lot to be desired and should be advertised as additional payment (i.e. bikes and kayaks require additional payment which would cost a family hundreds of dollars to use). The tennis court could not be used given the net was completely broken and the grounds were completely torn to pieces. The "free" breakfast was only bagels and toast and packaged muffins. I would not recommend this place.
Driving from Ma-Me , had a wonderful stay at this motel, has indoor / outdoor pool, tennis court, tiny snack shop, free breakfast, walking distance to restaurants & attractions, able to rent bicycles/ canoes, able to walk to beach / gas grilling station , has 2 parking discerning from of room. My room had mixture of old appliances but still work as new a renovated bathroom , sofa bed & 2 queens, modern charger station . Will come back again. .
This places has been updated in the last five years but seemed to be lacking customer service, & cleanliness , noisy bed platform. Windows were dirty , missing and wholly screens. The bedding and towels didn’t smell fresh bed had sand or black particulates in it. Floors were absolutely disgusting. After our showers to get ready for bed after walking from bathroom to bed I noticed my feet. I was absolutely horrified. Thankfully we bought our own blankets. Upon calling the front desk in the AM they sent us a very soiled spray mop with no apology and excuses . I was really mad at this point. Oddly all of the people working here seemed to not be from this country. They had a hard time understanding why we were upset and the concept of cleanliness and just the basic customer service. We called our credit card company and are disputing this place and we should get our we money back. Because we went during the off season we were lucky to have found a much better accommodations for not much more. Ogunquit Tides has a view to the water inlet but it is NOT worth staying here. People were coming up to us telling us they were having the same experiences and upon complaining they will kick you out. At the new place I was walking across the parking lot with bare feet after the my sauna session and my feet were so much cleaner than walking from the shower to bed. FYI I went to Ogunquit tides website and called them directly and somehow they told me I didn’t book with them but the email was reservation desk. I am not sure what scam is happening but beware!
I stayed at Ogunquit Tides on July 12, 2025, after booking and paying for a King room. When we arrived, we were given a room with two Queen beds instead. Later that night, the toilet began making an extremely loud, jackhammer-like noise for about 30 seconds every time it was flushed. I have stomach issues and needed to use the bathroom multiple times, which made sleep nearly impossible due to the increasingly loud and extended noise. I called the front desk for help, but no one answered—likely because the office had closed at 11pm. The next morning, I went to the office at 9:45am to request a refund. The senior manager, “Lisa,” refused and said, “I will not be giving your money back. The reason I’m not giving your money back is because the rates are so low.” I explained that we did not receive the room we booked, and after showing her video evidence of the noise, she still refused a refund, insisting no one had ever complained about this before. She told me to email her the video, which I did right in front of her. She offered to have maintenance check the issue but again said there would be no refund. We returned the keys at 10:20am and asked for the manager's name and number. She gave us the name “Nagina” and a phone number. My mother called shortly after and asked to speak with Nagina. The person who eventually answered refused to give her name despite repeated requests, eventually saying her name was Lisa. She bizarrely claimed the loud noise in the video was coming from my car, not the toilet—despite the video clearly being filmed inside the bathroom. When questioned, Lisa accused my mom of putting words in her mouth and hung up on her. We waited until 11:10am—no one from maintenance ever showed up. No follow-up call or email came from the hotel, despite a promise to contact me. The overall experience was unprofessional, dismissive, and unacceptable. We didn’t receive the room we paid for, were kept up all night by a maintenance issue, and were met with dishonesty and blame-shifting when we asked for basic accountability. I would not recommend staying here.
Priceline agent booked me this room and requested disabled room. So, upon my arrival, I was able to check in early and then given room 104, which was adjacent to the office. I placed all my luggage and whatnot into the room. I was pleasantly surprised as the room had a view and entry door to the pool. There was no odor of bleach or cleaning smells. I sat down to use my MacBook when suddenly there was a loud knocking on my door. Upon opening the door; a staff member told me I’d have to move, but not to worry the room I am going to is much nicer. I drove down to the back of the complex to a room that was like (for better choice of words) a “motel 6” and reeked of bleach. This review would have been a 5 except for the extenuating circumstances. The picture is of the room I was moved to.
This motel is conveniently located to Footbridge Beach and the center of Ogunquit. Both are within walking distance if you're a walker. The location overlooks the Ogunquit River and the dunes with the ocean on the other side. I had a king room with a balcony that looked out toward the water. It was clean and comfortable. The off-season rates can't be beat. It appears that the owners have done recent renovations and are still in the process of updating. I had a couple minor issues, which were promptly addressed. The staff is friendly and efficient. A basic continental breakfast is included. I also enjoyed the indoor pool (there is an outdoor one too).
Needed a quick, inexpensive place to sleep. We found this online. Checked it out and it looked nice and clean. No frills. Check in was easy. Room had a big balcony and a view of the pool and ocean. Nothing fancy but perfect for an overnight. Sheets where clean bed was comfy! Shower and bathroom were nice and clean as we're the towels. Breakfast came with reservations and was fine! Walking or easy drive to many restaurants. Right on the main road.
We went to Ogunquit Tides for our 48th wedding anniversary trip. This was the 24th time we had been to Ogunquit. We stayed at this hotel 12 years ago on our first trip to Ogunquit. I understand it was sold the next year. We had a first floor, king size bed in one of the newer buildings. A private porch to sit out on. The staff in the office is very nice, our room was clean. Bed was very comfortable. The location is good, about a 15 /20 min. walk to the center of town. A walk down to the back of the property is right on the river with a sitting area by the water and kayaks to use. The complimentary breakfast is basic, in clean comfortable dining areas in and out. Reasonably priced. The one thing I would change...the lighting in the room is poor. There are several lights, but low lights...however, we definitely will return, but maybe ask for better lighting.
Stayed here as it was out first visit to Ogunquit. I was looking for a good location at a reasonable price since we already did a big trip to Europe this summer. This place is no frills. Good location, can walk to restaurants and there’s a nice view from the pool deck. Room was partially updated but the floor was filthy which was really disgusting. Bathroom sink seemed forever clogged. The AC was loud. But the free breakfast was nice. Service was fine, but no one going above and beyond. Very marshy so we didn’t get to kayak because of tides- not having been there before, I didn’t realize that would be a problem. Overall, it was fine but I wouldn’t stay there again.
