Otto’s High Dive

I visited this restaurant on Sunday, and it was extremely busy. The host told us it would be a 2.5-hour wait, even though there were several empty tables. I assume they were short-staffed. Surprisingly, they called us after only 30 minutes because the host had let several parties leave, assuming no tables would become available. First, the host clearly needs more training. Second, the customer service was the worst I have ever experienced. There was absolutely no attention to the guests. The food, however, was absolutely delicious. I had the ceviche, and it was outstanding. Unfortunately, our server only came to our table twice during the entire meal. I work in the restaurant industry myself, and I honestly don’t know if this restaurant has a manager, but if it does, they need to step in immediately. The complete lack of customer service is unacceptable. Great food alone is not enough to create a good dining experience.

Otto High Dive was a great experience from start to finish. The food was delicious and has a unique Latin twist that made every dish stand out. The pastelitos were definitely the highlight of the meal—absolutely delicious and a must-try! Everything we ordered was fresh and flavorful. The service was also fantastic. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout our visit. The only downside is that the indoor seating area is a bit small, so I highly recommend making reservations ahead of time. Overall, a great spot with amazing food, excellent service, and a fun atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

Snapper so good it will make you slap yo momma!!

Otto’s High Dive has quickly become one of our favorite spots. The food, drinks, vibe, and people are all amazing. We did a walk-in on a Friday and the manager, PJ, was truly phenomenal. Welcoming us in as if we were regulars. Luis was our server that first time we visited, and he was also super attentive, friendly, and just an all-around great guy. We loved our first visit so much that we came back with a bigger group the following week. They were able to fit us in the “family corner,” which is dedicated to the owner’s grandpa, who inspired much of the restaurant’s personality and vibe. It made the whole experience feel even more special. Taylor was our server that night, and she was also absolutely phenomenal. Otto’s does such a great job of staying true to its Cuban-Latin roots while still feeling fresh and modern. You can order a bunch of appetizers to share or go straight for a main meal, and either way, you’re going to have a great experience. Everything we’ve tried has been delicious. This is a great example of a place where the good food and reviews will bring you in, but the people will bring you back. Just 10/10 experience.

There are restaurants where you walk in, and there are restaurants where your passport should probably get stamped. Otto’s High belongs to the second category. The moment you step through the doors, Orlando disappears. Somehow you’ve landed on a Caribbean island with just enough French influence to make everything feel effortlessly elegant. Lush plants, vibrant colors, perfectly spaced tables, and one of the most beautiful bars you’ll find anywhere in Florida create the kind of atmosphere that immediately whispers, “Order a piña colada.” Then you open the cocktail menu… and realize that would actually be underselling the place. This is, without question, one of the best cocktail programs you’ll find in Florida. The Summer Moon, built around mezcal, was a show in a glass. Every sip seemed to evolve as little splashes of spice kept weaving themselves into the drink. The Adobo Bloody Mary deserves its own fan club—served with shrimp and an oyster, it’s less of a cocktail and more of an event. Every drink we tried was creative, balanced, and memorable. At about $18 each, they’re worth every penny, and for once you’ll leave feeling like the bartender won the negotiation instead of your wallet. The food kept pace. The crab croquetas were everything they should be: crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and dangerously easy to keep ordering. The absolute star of the evening was the Lechón. But don’t overlook the Chorizo Soufflé, which somehow manages to be comforting, refined, and completely addictive at the same time. The only tiny bump in an otherwise outstanding meal came from the ceviche. The flavors were excellent, but someone made the curious decision to include watermelon rind. It looked interesting… until you actually had to chew it. Sometimes creativity deserves a standing ovation; this time it probably deserved a polite meeting. Dessert was the only course that didn’t quite reach the same heights. The cheese and guava pastry sounded like a home run but ended up feeling fairly ordinary. Thankfully, the evening finished on a high note thanks to excellent espresso and coffee. A special standing ovation goes to our waitress, Savannah. She was phenomenal from beginning to end. She knew the menu inside and out, answered every question with confidence, accommodated every request without hesitation, and somehow managed to be both incredibly professional and genuinely warm. Great service makes good restaurants memorable; Savannah helped make an already outstanding restaurant exceptional. Otto’s High isn’t just another trendy Orlando restaurant. It’s the kind of place that reminds you dining out can still feel like an adventure. Whether you’re a cocktail enthusiast, a foodie, or simply someone looking for a night that feels like a tropical vacation without leaving Central Florida, this is a must-visit. And if you can make it for their Sunday brunch, do yourself a favor and go.

Really enjoyed our visit here tonight! The Ropa Vieja is probably the best I’ve ever had and my husband, who is picky, really enjoyed his meal as well. The cocktail menu is unique / delicious. We did have to wait a bit because we didn’t have reservations but the outside cocktail menu cart was great (the bartender was awesome) and we were sat before the time estimate they gave us. We don’t visit a ton of places twice, but will definitely be back! Well done!

One of our favorite spots for cocktails and food in Orlando. Brunch, dinner, happy hour or late night. Go here. That’s all that needs to be said!

Got there at about 5pm and they had reservations so we sat at the bar, which was empty at the time, but the restaurant was full by the time we left! Service was great, the bartender was very knowledgeable and our drinks were awesome. It was still happy hour so we ordered a variety off the menu. List of items we had: Tostones, maduros, media noche, fish dip, shrimp skewers, and the squash and burrata salad. Everything tasted amazing and we finished with the tres leches for dessert which was also delicious and big enough for the three of us to enjoy. A great spot to have a nice cocktail and enjoy good food.

This place was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere, the staff, food, and drinks were all incredible. The staff had an incredible knowledge on Mezcal and served it the traditional way and Ive never felt so special. Ive never seen such an extensive mezcal list. We had the Ceviche and smoked fish dip along with the braised short rib and lobster. This was an incredible experience and we will definitely be back as this is a staple in our restaurant rotation now!

In a really cool neighborhood, lively on a Tuesday night in summer. Great food, great cocktails, fun and interesting people at the bar. Highly recommend!

I came to Otto’s High Dive all the way from NYC, after it was highly recommended, so I was looking forward to trying it. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to the hype. The service was disappointing. Our server came across as having an attitude, and even simple interactions, like bringing items to the table, felt cold and unwelcoming. As for the food, it lacked the flavor I was expecting. The rice, beans, and lechón all tasted underseasoned and fell flat. For a restaurant serving Cuban-inspired food, I was hoping for dishes with much more depth and authenticity. The drinks were the highlight of the meal—they were well-made and delicious. Unfortunately, great cocktails weren’t enough to make up for the overall dining experience. Overall, the restaurant felt like it prioritized being trendy over delivering the bold flavors and warm hospitality I expected. I wanted to love it, but I left feeling underwhelmed.
