Equality Community Center

An incredibly valuable asset to our community on so many levels!

It seems like the organization as a whole has great programming. However, I had a frustrating experience. I bought tickets to a attend a drag show, with the tickets stating the show started at 7pm. I arrived shortly before 7. Doors didn't open until about 7:45 and the show didn't start until about 8:45. Even then the early portion consisted of two hosts just chatting with each other. It seemed to me they were either stalling for unprepared performers, or were just unconcerned about moving things along. My friends and I had to leave before seeing any of the actual drag show, despite being there for almost 2 hours. It would have been considerate of the venue to post an accurate doors open and show start time so folks could plan accordingly.

Everyone has a safe place here. A wonderful community that has so much to offer.

This place has EVERYTHING! Art by local artists; puzzles & games; coffee; snacks; places to sit; a HUGE library with lots of books, and a warm, knowledgeable and friendly staff at its heart, driving it all.
