Twin Peaks Tavern
Visitors praise Twin Peaks Tavern for its historic significance as the first LGBTQ bar with open windows, its welcoming atmosphere, and its great people-watching opportunities. However, some guests have reported very bad service from arrogant and unpleasant bartenders, and one reviewer felt the vibe was not inclusive for queer individuals who are not white cis gay men.

Have you ever used a bathroom that smells like fresh bake cookies? Well this is your place. Go to the lower level restroom. Vents from next-door‘s cookie shop vent directly into the bathroom. It’s the best smelling bathroom in the world.
Anyone who respects the queer history of the Castro should come here. Jose was an amazing wealth of knowledge.
San Francisco is the birthplace of GLBt in the US and the world; it's a major center for GLBt culture. However, from what I observed, it was predominantly male; there seemed to be relatively few women. There weren't any of the naked people I'd seen online; most were wearing at least underwear. Sitting here with a drink, observing the diverse crowd, was quite an eye-opening experience. No wonder it's the land of freedom, America.
Legendary gay bar on a Saturday afternoon was like a party good times good friends great day.
