Super cool hotel. Great location next to the Fox and SLU.

We had no idea that this hotel (opened in 2018/2019?) was so famous. There’s a wall of newspaper and magazine articles published when it opened. It’s a funky-artsy hotel in the art district near St. Louis University. A lot of places available to eat. Paid parking ($30/night). Here’s the weird thing: the lobby to check in is on the 12th floor. We (and others) didn’t see the sign. It is quiet but the A/C unit a little noisy. It’s a cool place and we got a great last minute (literally) rate. I’d stay here again. A really cool 12th floor bar area overlooking downtown.

Pleasant and cosmopolitan hospitality. Want to feeling like getting away, the Angad Arts Hotel is the ideal place.

My wife and I were very excited to stay in the hotel, we love art and thought this would be a great experience. We were very disappointed, the room was very small with a weird column right in the middle of the room, the color floor themes would be great if the color in the room was not a terrible version of said color. To be fair we only stayed in the green room, which was a frat house limish green that did not make the room stand out except in a bad way. The bed is not comfortable in anyway very hard and thin. The absolute worst thing however was we were not even allowed to go to the bar on the roof, there was a wedding party who booked it and nothing was said that we would not be able to even visit or use it until we checked in. Staff was fine, can't complain about them at all. But, the the theme floors are done poorly and not being able to use the best feature of the hotel really ruined the experience. The squeeze is not worth the juice in this hotel. We will not be back.

Lovely hotel to stay in! The hot tub in the room is a great option ( it’s bigger in real life too). Only notes I have is the room needs more tall mirrors ( there was only one mirror attached to the closet) which makes it hard for two people to get dressed while standing by the door. Second is not major but would have been nice is having the colored eyes pillows on the bed since that’s a signature look for the room. Otherwise beautiful hotel and bar!

For first time goers, I think it's confusing especially after a long day of vacation. The Lobby is on the 12th floor for some reason which had us going back and forth with our heavy luggage. We finally got checked it. You have to use the card they give you to use their elevator. Which we didn't know at first either because they didn't tell us. When we got to our room I check all the furniture for bugs, because I do that with any hotel I say. I didn't see anything and it looked clean! The coffee machine didn't work though. The shower was really nice and bathroom was clean. YouTube on the tv make you log into your account for some reason so make sure you log out. The rooftop bar was such a vibe! I love the atmosphere there. And the drinks were great. Overall, I would stay again, now that I know where everything is. Hope this helps.

I had to downgrade my 2023 5/5 review of the Angard hotel. After our very enjoyable first stay in 2023, we re-booked a room in 2026 and were thoroughly disappointed. The biggest issue: The air conditioning was so loud that it disturbed our sleep both nights we were in the room. It blew directly on our faces when lying in bed. We tried to regulate the airflow and temperature, but failed. We tried to turn off the AC, but were again defeated. When we called the front desk, we were informed the AC could not be turned off and we were not offered any help. Both, my wife and I, developed a cold for the rest of our week long trip that we believe was caused by that evil air conditioning of the Angard Hotel. We won't be back. Now having a more critical view of the Angard, we found other faults: The room itself was small - no escaping the AC. Cramped with furniture, a ugly pipe ran across the ceiling (see picture). The toilet seat was loose and plasticy. The shower did not look clean when one looked twice. We were unhappy. Funny how the same venue can make for very different experiences. ----------- We had a great stay. My son had to visit a nearby hospital early in the morning and the proximity of the hotel was very convenient. But we loved the decoration and painting schemes. We explored the hotel and enjoyed the art ... simply a good vibe. We walked a bit around the block and there were a few places that I would have been happy to explore further ... but we were tired. I parked the car on the street right across from the hotel and, well, it was still there the next morning :-) Overall, I would stay there again. I thought it was well worth its reasonable price.

Great Hotel

First time visiting while traveling for a touring production. The staff were amazing and the accommodations were perfect. Special shoutout to Nyla (Front Desk Reception) for being so kind to us all!

Beautiful concept. Horrible service and cleanliness! I informed The front desk that there was blood on my sheets that did not belong to me and ask for my bed to be remade with fresh sheets. I did not throw a fit. I understand things happen, but then my bed was made up with the exact same sheets and the blood on it, that was not mine. There were gnats in the room and Housekeeping claimed to clean the room, but only made up the beds and never restocked the bathroom. I had to go down to the front desk for towels and toilet paper whenever it was needed because they were never replenished.
