Lucky Star Lounge is a small gay bar on Central Avenue in St. Petersburg's Grand Central District, where most of the city's queer bars and shops are clustered. It's a local hangout, not a dance club, with stiff pours and low prices that attract a mixed crowd of regulars. You'll find better drinks than décor here. The door's the thing to know: it's not on Central Avenue itself, but in the alley between Central and 1st Avenue South, which is easy to miss if you're not looking for it. There's a patio out back where people can smoke. Hours aren't posted, so it's a good idea to call ahead, especially if you're planning to go early in the week.

I put 5 stars for the food because I'm definitely a little bit of a goof and I ask for fruit at bars and oh they sure gave me some. But for service? I wish I could give them 10, bar was so laid back and the bartender was very attentive and easygoing and just overall seems like a great guy and good at his job. I will definitely be going back. Thank you for great service Kyle 💛
