Hampton Inn Stroudsburg/Poconos

I give it a 3.5. Place is really clean. Staff was friendly. Breakfast is a plus. I gave it a 3.5 because I was only there for 2 nights (went to a wedding). The pool looked refreshing. The fitness room also looked neat and tidy. Not huge but in good order. Plenty of parking. They are animal friendly !!!

I wish I had been more diligent in choosing this hotel. It most definitely does not meet the expectations of any Hampton we have ever visited. We were shocked that corporate allows this level low level of quality. The TV in the lobby was blaring. The hallways smelled of smoke and marijuana and appeared to have not seen a vacuum in a few days. The room had animal hair on the window ledge and air conditioning unit. The ac unit control panel was filthy. And the entire room smelled of urine that was so strong we left after 15 minutes. The carpet was in desperate need of a deep cleaning. The desk manager offered no options and when I asked if she could at minimum authorize us to get our money back she said she would not help. We are not a fussy family. Do not choose this property. Unfortunately this left a very negative impact on our impression of Hampton which we have enjoyed in the past.

On the plus side, the location is great, and the front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, however this Hampton was in the worst shape of any of the dozen or so we've stayed at in the last few years. Carpet in the room was dirty and in serious need of deep cleaning. There were signs of mold in the bathroom, a number of gnats were flying around, and the shower shampoo dispenser was empty. One of the two beds didn't appear to be completely made. Several breakfast items were gone by 9am and not replenished.

Love the front desk

Website stated recently renovated. Our room 1st floor wasn't. 2 big stains on couch, poor bathroom lighting with a back lit mirror. No fan/ehaust in bathrooom. Towels were like sandpaper. A/C would not stay at set temp. Room constantly 70 or warmer. 1st floor constantly smelled like Marijuana, which also came in under orlur.door. Loud music at 1:30 am 2 nights. Bed pillows worthless, flat. Never again for us.

Location was great! Front desk agent was very nice. Rooms were clean. Nothing fancy but good for one or two nights. Breakfast was ok but they were out of almost everything by 8:45.

Great atmosphere, good beds and service.

Bed was comfortable, room was clean, staff were friendly. Hotel is walking distance from Main St shops and restaurants.

Bed bugs. I'm at hotels all the time and I've never seen this before. Now I need to go home and boil everything.
