This is an elegant setting with fabulous cuisine , impeccable service and a sophisticated atmosphere.
It’s a very beautiful hotel a stunning building. Built in 1926, 100 Years ago ! Love the building! But the thing is The Tea Party I went there it’s incredibly expensive. You get just a couple of scones and a small pot of tea—it’s very pricey. For that kind of money, they could have offered so much more, but instead, you get a couple of cookies, couple of scones and a small pot of tea all for $280 or $300! But the atmosphere inside the hotel is very beautiful and calm, quiet, I loved it, and I liked the classical music. Everything is great, except that they charge a lot of money for tea :) 👍🏻😘
I recently visited this hotel with my wife and was highly disappointed by the behavior of a staff member. While we were enjoying our stay, we overheard a young man named Paul, possibly a manager or supervisor, making inappropriate remarks about my wife in Spanish, calling her names and using obscenities behind her back, thinking we wouldn’t understand. Such disrespectful behavior is absolutely unacceptable. Instead of a relaxing getaway, we felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. Due to this experience, we won't be returning to this hotel. I hope management takes action to ensure that no other guests have to endure this kind of treatment.
We had an outstanding stay at The St. Regis Washington, D.C. From the moment we arrived, the level of service was exceptional. The staff was polite, professional, and attentive, making us feel welcomed throughout our stay. The bellmen and valet attendants were especially courteous and professional, providing first-class service from check-in to departure. The hotel itself was beautifully decorated with an elegant and sophisticated style that perfectly complements the historic character of the property. Our room was immaculate, spacious, and thoughtfully appointed. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, providing a great night's sleep after a day of exploring Washington, D.C. The bathroom was equally impressive, featuring high-end finishes, plenty of space, and luxury touches throughout. One of our favorite features was the bidet toilet with a heated seat, which added an extra level of comfort and luxury to the experience. Every detail of our stay reflected the high standards of The St. Regis. If you're looking for a luxury hotel in Washington, D.C. with outstanding service, elegant accommodations, and exceptional comfort, we highly recommend The St. Regis. We would gladly stay here again.
Great pre-arrival coordination and the GM went above and beyond to accommodate specific requests. However, it does seem that the room renovation was partial and shower/water pressure was particularly lacking, not on-par with other St. Regis properties. Staff on-site fulfilled the typical St. Regis "checklist" of hospitality actions, but without any real guest engagement or authenticity - a noticeable difference from the night prior at the Waldorf Astoria DC.
The good: The hotel truly has character and vibe, the lobby is beautiful with live piano, talented singer, the location is special and the bedding and bath are at St. Regis standards. The bad: 1.The food is just meh, room service (although fast) food was even worse. 2. The Bar and the restaurant have staffing issues. Had to wait for more than 20 mins for a Sunday breakfast and never had a service when we visited the bar in the afternoon. 3. Cost cutting is visible. Cheap breads, Low quality turndown chocolate, ultra basic water bottles etc. 4. Buttler service isn’t really available or encouraged
