Great location, right across from Porter Square T station, Target and CVS. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are modern and comfortable. Good bit of road noise and fairly thin walls. Love the ambiance in the lobby!
Conveniently across from T stop on Mass Ave. Friendly staff. Very helpful. They don't clean rooms unless you request so don't forget to ask for a coffee refill on your second night!
Ok hotel. Very clean but small room and no closets. It seems appalling to me that you still need to request the making of the room in the morning. I paid almost $600 for two nights and I did not see the sign in the elevator that mentioned that you needed to request the making of your room in the morning and at this time that is just simply not acceptable. It was noisy and the shower, with a curtain that flows into the shower it is very uncomfortable to shower. I would not stay here in my next visit to Boston

A true gem in Cambridge. Small but very efficient rooms. Location is superb, just across the Red Line T station, restaurants, grocery shops, Target, and pharmacies. The hotel is clean, updated, and the rooms are very quiet. Viktor at the front desk was fantastic, very friendly, and very helpful. So, a combination of excellent staff, location, amenities, and the condition of the rooms and facilities makes this a fantastic hotel.
I was a frequent guest at Hotel 1868 over the fall and spring, traveling to Boston regularly for work, and my experience was consistently exceptional. The property’s staff were attentive without being intrusive, gracious, and remarkably intuitive in terms of anticipating my needs. Their attention to such details as preferred room temperature and providing extra water and utensils for takeout made each stay feel personalized and genuinely welcoming. The hotel itself is impeccably well-maintained: modern, comfortable, clean, and exceptionally well-located, with easy access to the subway, convenient valet parking, and well-equipped amenities including a fitness center. It felt less like a hotel over time and more like a home away from home. I left each stay impressed by the level of care and consistency, and I would not consider staying anywhere else when visiting Cambridge in the future.
Very convenient location. The train station is across the street and there are restaurants and shops at walking distance from the hotel. My room offered an amazing view of Porter square and had a reading nook.
