Service: Absolutely phenomenal. Our bartender, Mackenzie, was an absolute delight—friendly, warm, and incredibly sweet. She has a creative flair and an amazing talent for crafting drinks. Tala was our dinner server in the dining room and was equally wonderful: attentive, kind, and genuinely welcoming. Jack was also fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and full of great recommendations and suggestions. Thank you all for your dedication and the care you put into your work. You truly made it an unforgettable experience for my spouse, Justin, and me. Hotel: Full of personality and very cozy—an excellent place to stay. The check-in staff were friendly, helpful, and made the process easy and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Rooms: The room was cozy, comfortable, and impeccably clean. The bathroom was wonderful, with plenty of fresh towels and well-stocked coffee. Housekeeping did an amazing job, and the coffee was especially delicious—we truly felt well taken care of. Thank you for making our stay so memorable and enjoyable.

A lovely boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Victoria,close to restaurants,shops and the harbour. We are very impressed with the hotel staff,room and amenities. The fireplace in the room is a really nice feature,nice clean bathroom and very comfortable bed and pillows. The service is outstanding,nightly turndown,Nespresso coffee maker with milk and cream provided in the bar fridge,which is nice touch. Added bonus of having one of the best restaurants in Victoria(The Courtney Room)right in the lobby,serving amazing drinks and food. We will be back the next time we visit Victoria!

I stayed at the Magnolia Hotel during my recent business trip to Victoria. After reading the reviews and looking at pictures, my expectations going in were very high. I can confidently say the Magnolia completely exceeded my expectations. I have stayed at 5-star boutique hotels around the world and Magnolia is by far one of the top 3 hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The staff was so warm and hospitable — everyone had a smile on their face and made you feel genuinely welcome. The hotel room was updated, meticulously clean, tastefully decorated and cozy (mine had a fireplace). The bathroom was spacious, came equipped with a Dyson hairdryer and had soft towels (which is super rare these days). The location was quiet and conveniently located in town. Their in-house restaurant, The Courtney, was phenomenal (my breakfast was so good that I went back for lunch). My only disappointment was that I was only there for one night. This hotel was so wonderful — I cannot wait to return!

Had a wonderful 3 night stay between Christmas and New Year 2025. A luxury boutique hotel that doesn't feel pretentious in any way. Great location near inner harbour, the Empress, Parliament buildings. Clean, beautifully appointed and spacious room overlooking the corner of Courtney and Gordon. Front desk staff Amy and Alfonso were particularly charming and helpful. Valet Mike was great to deal with, always had our car ready to go within a few minutes. We also celebrated our anniversary dinner at the Courtney Room, and it was truly a meal to remember. Our server Sage was pleasant and attentive without hovering, provided great menu suggestions. Jack, the sommelier, suggested an absolutely stunning Italian white, a Cortese from Villa Sparina, to pair with our meals. He took the time to explain the nuances of grape and style (which we'd never tried before) and it was magnificent. My wife and I agree that we'll never stay anywhere else when in Victoria.

Alfonso is amazing. He helped me with my hotel bookings and always made sure my preferences were taken care of. He is incredibly thoughtful and helpful, and his personal handwritten welcome card makes visits feel extra special. He also keeps me well informed with timely and clear communication. Everyone at the hotel is super helpful and friendly — it’s truly a great team. Highly recommend.
