Potent

Potent is the late-night club most often named for gay Shanghai, on the 3rd floor (unit 319) of the TX Huaihai mall at 523 Huaihai Middle Road. Expect a large main floor, a separate techno room and a young, fashionable, mostly local crowd. Doors open around 22:00 and it peaks after midnight; weekends can need booking ahead. It posts updates as @potent_club on Instagram. As with most of Shanghai's scene there is no signage - find the lift and ride up.
