Potent

Potent is a gay dance club on the third floor (unit 319) of the TX Huaihai mall at 523 Huaihai Middle Road, and one of the names most often cited for gay nightlife in Shanghai. Reports describe a main dancefloor plus a separate techno room, with a young, mostly local crowd. Doors are reported to open around 22:00, with the busiest hours after midnight. There is no street signage, so take the mall lift up. Hours on file are unconfirmed, and Shanghai clubs change often, so check its Instagram (@potent_club) before going.
