Unperfekthotel

A very cool location with an exceptional concept.

The name says it all, but it's really cheap and meets expectations.

Relaxing on the rooftop terrace, working in a group room or simply being inspired by the creative environment: The ideal place for coworking when you are passing through.

Super nice staff

I was in Essen for two days on business and stayed at the Unperfekthaus. While all the hotel chains had drastically increased their prices due to the city festival taking place at the same time, the price at the Unperfekthaus remained fair. The room was quiet, very clean, and the bathroom was modern and equipped with everything you could need. Anyone traveling for business will find everything they require: high-speed internet, all kinds of office supplies, charging cables, and a TV that can be connected to a laptop. Even a Nespresso machine and a kettle were provided. The Unperfekthaus isn't your typical hotel; it offers a unique experience. The staff were all very friendly, and the food and drink selection, with its relatively inexpensive flat rate, was perfectly adequate and good. You should definitely take the time to explore the building. There's art and much more to discover on every floor, including the basement.

We need more places like UPH! Here's community, here's creativity, here's life! Whether you're just here for coffee with friends, want to play a 10-hour D&D campaign, or enjoy the summer on the rooftop terrace, UPH is the place for it! There are so few places these days where you can simply exist without constantly being pressured to buy more and more.

Nice people, great atmosphere, amazing food. The kids had fun, the adults could chat and enjoy their meal. Everything was perfect!

Very disappointed. The all-you-can-eat meal looked nothing like it did online. For over €25. The currywurst at the all-you-can-eat buffet was awful (worse than the microwave version from the supermarket), as was the overall selection. (Cream of mushroom soup, savoy cabbage stew, sweet potato soup) convenience food. As a regular all-you-can-eat customer, you weren't allowed to touch anything that looked even remotely edible because it was reserved. No scrambled eggs. No orange juice. No choice of bread rolls. We went straight to the market hall afterward to get something to eat. Neither the sausage nor the cheese is replaced even once a day, and it looks accordingly. (See photo)
