I loved the architecture so decided to stay there for my birthday. It breaks my heart to write this but this was far from a good experience... this hotel is far from being 4 stars (we paid close to 280€ a night) Indeed the location is perfect, the architecture is on point and the staff from the breakfast and pool are really lovely!! Antonio is working there since 10 years but would be so much better in another location. He deserves so much more. Rooms are crazy outdated like the walls are stained, as well as curtains We had a room on the first floor and I was waking up at night hearing the water going through the pipes, and I don’t know there’s like no soul in the decoration. Plastic lamps, very old wooden furniture. We changed room after the 4th attempt, I understand that the hotel was very busy because of the public holiday but the staff at the reception was really stressed out which made any request really uncomfortable. When we got another room, the sheets were stained, there was an awful smell in the bathroom (because of a grid on the ground that was full of dirty water), and we had no privacy on the terrace like our neighbors could see us in our bed just by walking out of their room! The service was super random like we had water in our first room and no water on the second, robes only in the second. This place has so much potential, but it’s really cold, furniture and energy wise. There are also pigeons poops everywhere like I understand that you can’t control it but by the pool where guests are hanging out… it deserves a bit of a cleaning effort. I have never seen a 4 stars with such a smelly bathroom (I could smell it laying in my bed!!), stains on curtains, walls and sheet and such a stressed staff at the reception. Oh and wifi doesn’t work well enough, it takes 30 minutes to get your car, and as soon as you have it -> you need to move it RIGHT NOW. We weren’t even asked if everything went well like, when you check out, they tell you bye bye and that’s it. Very sad and disappointing. This is such a waste of potential :( I was treated way better in other 4 stars nearby

Eurostars Monte Tauro is a fantastic hotel with breathtaking sea views and a perfect location in Taormina. The rooms are clean, modern, and comfortable, many with stunning balconies. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the pool area is a highlight for relaxing while enjoying the scenery. A great choice for a memorable and comfortable stay.

A very beautiful, architecturally interesting hotel. Situated on a high hill with wonderful balconies and sea views, the drive from the main road to the hotel is a real challenge for tourists.

As said allready in previous reviews, the rooms are a bit worn but for the price you pay it is good value compared to general price range in the area. We stayed in a junior suite, room was spacious with large balcony and seaviews. Bed was wide and comfortable. Bathroom had separate shower and bath areas. There was separate small walk-in closet for clothes, which was a great bonus. Breakfast was of good quality and the views from breakfast restaurant were nice seaviews. Staff was professional. We enjoyed our stay so much we actually ended up booking one extra night. Gave 3 stars for the hotel only because of need for renovation but the rooms itself were clean and well maintained.

The hotel is in a fantastic location. The upper part of Taormina is just a few minutes' walk away. The amphitheater is a 12-minute walk away. You can also reach it by car. The hotel doesn't have its own parking lot, but it offers a great service: the driver will drop your car off at the outdoor parking lot and return it at the agreed time. You just need to let us know 30 minutes in advance. The cost is €30 per day. The hotel is situated on a cascading hill, making the view spectacular! A warning for inexperienced drivers: from the town level, you have to drive down a narrow and very steep street to the hotel, which has steps in the middle for pedestrians. A large car will be a problem. Breakfast offers a large selection of fresh products served buffet-style. The cost is €20. The room has a full refrigerator stocked with snacks and drinks (additional charge). It's great that it's there! No need to carry anything. The hotel itself is older, but it has very interesting architecture; the combination of concrete and abundant greenery makes a very good impression. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious. They've seen their glory days, but it's clear they were a brilliant project. It's very clean. In the master bedroom, you'll find clothes steamers and a small safe (there wasn't enough room for a computer), but you can easily store your wallet, documents, or other valuables. The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly! Compared to other hotels of a similar standard in Taormina, I think we made a very good choice. The price wasn't outrageous, and the property met our expectations. Because I booked so quickly, I didn't notice the difference in price for a room with a central view was very small. If you have the option of choosing a more expensive room, the view is absolutely stunning! The side sea view is even worse because there are more trees. We had a room on the second floor. The photo shows that we still had a clear view of the sea.

This is/was an absolute disaster! Unfriendly staff! Dirty hotel and room! Bird droppings everywhere – on the windows and balcony, ants in the room, and no dusting! At breakfast, I wanted scrambled eggs, but unfortunately, they reeked of fish, as if they'd been sitting there for days! We also couldn't use the pool because it's being renovated until the end of July, right in the middle of summer, without any prior notice! On top of that, there was the construction work with the noise of circular saws! We had already paid for it anyway! In my opinion, this hotel needs a complete overhaul/renovation! After several attempts to get them to improve all these things, we were told that's just how it is, that TUI was aware of the situation, and that they couldn't do anything about it! Unfortunately, that's simply not true! Absolutely outrageous!

Booked a room with partial sea view. 90 degrees of sea view from the balcony. Spacious bathroom with a lot of options to store items. No complementary water. So, make sure you have one when you check in if you don’t want to drink tap water. Comfortable bed.

Great location, just 10 minutes up the streets to the city. Great breakfast and view of Etna volcano from the balcony. Rooms need renovation, but there is always fruit and fresh lemonade at the reception, which is great.
