Bar Code Secret 2 is a gay bar at number 8 on Carrer d'Alacant, the main street of Benidorm's Old Town gay scene. It is a drinking bar rather than a show bar: drink promotions, a sociable bar layout and a crowd that moves between the neighbouring venues as the night goes on. Reviews are good (4.4 from about 100). It sits at the lower end of the strip, so it works as a first or last stop on a crawl of the street. No hours are listed; the strip gets busy late, from about 11pm.

I find it distasteful that in Spain they've opened a dive bar where speaking Spanish is prohibited. A dingy, cockroach-infested dive.

We went in for a drink, but they didn't serve us right away. We went to the restroom and a waiter rudely told us that the restroom was only for customers. We left because he made us feel bad.

A lively bar which was always busy when I was here on holiday with a real inclusive mix of people. Bar staff extremely friendly and welcoming. Clean and tidy. Reasonable prices. Good music! Would highly recommend!
