Bar Code Secret 2 è uno dei nuovi arrivati su Carrer d'Alacant, la via più trafficata del quartiere gay della Città Vecchia, e ha lasciato subito il segno: i visitatori recenti lo considerano tra i migliori locali dove bere per uomini gay in città, lodando le promozioni sui drink orientate al risparmio e lo sforzo profuso nell'ambiente. La formula è quella classica del bar di quartiere: offerte convenienti su birre alla spina e cocktail, un'area bar conviviale e una clientela che si riversa dai locali vicini man mano che la serata si anima. È un bar dove bere, piuttosto che uno show bar, e compete sul prezzo e sull'atmosfera piuttosto che sullo spettacolo. Al numero 8, ancora l'estremità inferiore della striscia di Alacant, con Mercury, Betty Boo's e il resto della strada a pochi passi – una prima o ultima tappa facile per il classico giro dei locali.
