MGM Grand Detroit

I checked in on 6/19/26 with 2 coworkers for a work related training session. Initially, we were given a room with only one bed (we were supposed to have a double). When we reported this, we were told that the correct room would not be ready for at least an hour, despite it being after 3:30pm. It wasn’t until 5pm that we got into our new room. Only 2 of the 4 available elevators were working, and then sometime in the early afternoon of 6/20, the other 2 were having “technical difficulties”. “Busmen” had to escort guests up and down the service elevators, which lead us behind the scenes. Staff seemed nonchalant about it, because apparently this has happened before. The front desk tried to charge us for a 2nd night because they claimed we weren’t out of the room by check out. We were, but couldn’t go to the desk because we were in training. The down escalator wasn’t working either. Overall, it was a VERY disappointing experience. Would NOT recommend!

A joke

The worst casino ever! I will never be back!!!!! I could never speak to a host and had to debate for a food comp!! THEY ARE NOTHING LIKE VEGAS!!!!!! I will never recommend anyone to even come gamble with there tight machines!!!! Horrible horrible customer service and very rude Cj and unprofessional and Sharee had a whole attitude!!!!!

Nicer than the other detroit casinos

From start to finish we were pampered the room was amazing and the bathroom was superb the best place we stayed so far in downtown Detroit the room was very reasonable the breakfast was kind of lame they didn't serve it like they used to or that I remember room service to be we highly recommend staying at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino downtown Detroit
