I booked the special Valentine’s Day ticket online, which came with a nice promo price. On the actual day, it was pretty crowded, but not to the point where it felt uncomfortable. There were still plenty of moments where I could take photos without too many people in the frame. They have feeding show schedules posted clearly in each zone, so you can plan ahead and catch the sessions you’re interested in. There was also a cute Valentine’s Day booth set up just for the occasion, which added a nice festive touch. There are so many different species here that even after walking around for about two hours, I’m pretty sure I still didn’t see everything. The aquarium is divided into different biomes based on habitats. For example, the penguins have their own icy zone, while the sharks are in the ocean zone. The jellyfish zone is especially well done. There are multiple species on display, and the lighting makes everything look really beautiful and almost magical. The gift shop and food inside are noticeably more expensive than outside, so I’d recommend eating before you go in. There are restrooms available throughout the aquarium and seating areas along the way if you need a break. I managed to catch the shark feeding show. It was quite short, around 15 minutes, but still enjoyable to watch. Overall, it’s an aquarium I’d recommend visiting at least once if you’re in Bangkok. I also think it’s a really great place for a date, especially if you want something a bit different and memorable.
Sea Life Bangkok turns a shopping mall basement into a surprisingly immersive journey through the planet’s waters. The route moves from dimly lit freshwater zones to expansive ocean tanks, creating a clear narrative from rivers to reefs and open sea. You pass schools of small, fast moving fish that shimmer in tight formation, then slower, heavier species that glide with deliberate motion, showing just how diverse aquatic life can be in shape, color, and behavior. The large viewing tunnel is the highlight, with sharks and rays cruising overhead while coral displays reveal fine textures and subtle color gradients you would normally miss. Even the jellyfish section, softly backlit, lets you see the delicate pulsing of their translucent bodies, a small detail that makes the biology tangible rather than abstract. Staff manage the flow efficiently and are available to answer questions without turning it into a lecture. The atmosphere is controlled and calm despite the crowds, with clear signage guiding you smoothly from one habitat to the next. Buy tickets online to save time, and aim for early weekday hours if you want to enjoy the tunnel without waiting for space at the glass.
If you're heading to Siam Paragon with the kids, Sea Life Bangkok is a fantastic way to burn a few hours out of the heat. It’s much bigger than it looks from the mall entrance and kept our little ones completely occupied. The Highlights The Shark Feeding: This was the "wow" moment for the kids. Seeing the divers feed the sharks at the Shipwreck tank is intense but really educational. It’s worth checking the showtimes as soon as you arrive so you don't miss the 1:30 PM slot. Jellyfish Area: This part is surprisingly calming. It’s a dark room with glowing, color-changing tanks filled with jellyfish. It’s a great spot to take a breather while the kids watch the "aliens" swim around. Ocean Tunnel: Walking through the long glass tunnel with giant rays and sharks swimming right over your head is a core memory kind of experience. A Few Tips for Parents Stroller Access: The aquarium is mostly stroller-friendly with elevators available, though it can get a bit tight during the busy weekend rush. Timing: Try to go on a weekday morning if possible. We went on a Saturday and it was quite crowded around the popular tanks. The Penguins: Don't skip the "Ice Adventure" at the end—the Gentoo penguins are hilarious and usually a hit with toddlers. Overall, it’s a solid family afternoon. It is a bit pricey, but seeing the kids' faces when a shark swims inches away from them makes it worth the ticket.
Sea Life Bangkok Ocean World is a must-visit attraction in Bangkok. Located inside Siam Paragon, it offers an amazing underwater tunnel where sharks and rays swim above you — truly unforgettable! The aquarium is clean, well-organized, and perfect for families. There’s a wide variety of marine life, including penguins and colorful reef fish. It can be a bit crowded during peak hours, but overall it’s a fantastic experience and worth the visit.
This place was great. It is in the basement floors of the Siam Paragon mall and the escalator is in the food court area. All of the displays were well done, included live coral and plants, and featured animals or fish. There is a glass bottom boat ride over the shark tank, which also has a tunnel that runs under it. They also let you touch a few animals like a starfish and clam. There are different packages you can get that include some additional features or include popcorn and drinks so buy your tickets before going to the concession. Also, there are discounts if you are with someone with a Thai ID card. We took our time, took pictures, had popcorn and drinks, and sat down in front of the giant tank. I think it took us about 2 - 2.5 hours to go through.
