Nice to walk through and eat or drink. They are 2 parallel , busy , states where 1 sells more souvenirs and trinkets and the other food and drink.

I typically love a farmers market and hoped for a regional experience of fresh foods and artistic offerings. Far too many vendors are extremely aggressive. Engaging you to the point where they take offense (seemingly), if you do not stop and sample/engage. My daughter got stuck with a vendor, sampling candied nuts. In an effort to politely buy a small amount to get away from them, they deceptively charged us 75 Euros after quoting us a rate of 7.50 E. When we tried to return the items (unopened), they grew very hostile. We left the items and had to have our bank reverse the charges. Visit with caution.

We were cheated at a cheese stand. The seller vacuum-packed cheese rinds and charged us an exorbitant price for them. In response to our complaint, he said it was normal to pay too much for poor quality at a market for tourists. He said: (Quote): "Olives cost 6 euros at other markets, here they cost 36 euros."

LOTS of stalls. Some are redundant so its best to walk the whole thing before buying to make sure you're getting the best deal. Much of it is on the pricy side, but what do you expect for downtown Vienna? The main drawback is how aggressively some vendors hawk their wares.

Just a tourist trap! I was really cheated at Gewürzeck... despite my exact description of the spices I needed, I was sold chili that is inedible (spiciness), ras El Hanoud overpriced and smoked... supposedly freshly grated... this seller was either ignorant or truly cunning! Negative impressions are free!111

Cozy but fewer stalls than expected. Many tourists and sellers are pushing you to buy more.

My wife and I went to the Naschmarkt twice. On the one hand, there were a variety of restaurants where we ate Viennese schnitzel or Spareribs (see picture). Likewise, there is a wide selection of cheese and meat shops that advertise their goods. Also one booth we liked was the one that sells these plates and records. But what was just unbelievable was that we found Lindt chocolate. Just for this Dubai chocolate, you pay five times more than on the market in Switzerland (See picture, note. This chocolate is produced in Austria, but still five times in Switzerland?!?). If we go back to Vienna, then surely back to the Naschmarkt. It is worth it😁

Km of stalls shops and small food / street food points. Not to be missed. I recommend it especially for lunch. Already walking the vendors make you taste everything. Rich and varied, with food from all over the world.

I can only advise anyone (especially women) against visiting the Naschmarkt. What used to have a Viennese flair is now a zone of aggression and disrespect. I was insulted as a woman (conspicuous style) for no reason just because I asked a normal question about the ingredients of a product. As I fought back and walked on, the sellers of the neighbouring stalls expressed solidarity and continued to insult and harass me as I passed by. The atmosphere is characterized by an aggressive “bazaar mentality” and patriarchal role models. This is no longer about selling, but about showing force and intimidation. Those who value respect and safety should leave their money in sympathetic markets such as the Kutschkermarkt or the Meidlinger Markt. The Naschmarkt in this form is simply a shame for Vienna.
