An impressive and unique permanent collection of documents covering more than 200 years of gay history. The Schwules Musuem features an exhibition space, an archive and a library exploring homosexuality in all its facets, including documentation of personal experiences, all available for personal and professional research. Temporary exhibitions showcase works from artists, philosophers and historians. The museum was founded in in the mid-1980s in Kreuzberg by three gay students – Manfred Baumgar
