Schwules Museum has an interesting exhibition, but I found it very small. I also bought my ticket in advance, but when I arrived, nobody asked for it or even checked it.

Thoughtfully presented exhibits on different threads of LGBTQ history. Currently, the main exhibits focus on women’s roles in LGBTQ liberation, especially lesbians claiming their own voices and power in Germany. My partner and I found this particularly powerful as it reminded us of what gay men owe to lesbians and other queer communities for our own progress and quality of life - something we and other gay men could reflect on and show respect for more often. The other primary exhibit focuses on rural LGBT life. Both exhibits invited visitors to add their own stories.
