Papagayo Bar & Terrace

Papagayo holds down number 31 on Calle Santa Faz, the street that forms the spine of Benidorm's gay village, and its main asset is right there in the name: a proper terrace. On a street where much of the drinking happens indoors and late, Papagayo gives you tables outside and a front-row view of the village's evening promenade. The style is relaxed rather than raucous - drinks, conversation and people-watching, with the noise level rising naturally as the street fills up after dark. It draws a mixed LGBTQ+ crowd of regulars, expats and first-timers finding their bearings. Because Santa Faz is compact, Papagayo works as a natural way-station on any crawl: Bears Bar and KUMA are a few doors down, and the Plaza de la Constitucion end of the triangle is a one-minute walk.
