Piccolo Hotel

Small room with one bed for two people and a bathroom in an extra room. I think the bathroom didn't have a light switch (or I just didn't find it) and the walls are pretty thin. It's not exactly a luxury experience, but it's a fairly satisfactory place to stay for a weekend trip and worth the small price.

A terrible experience. The first thing you notice is the filth in the building's entrance. The bathroom was old and rusty, held together with rivets. And the beds were the worst of it all... the beds were sagging, and inside the upholstery there was a board with a chair to prop up the mattress. It was impossible to sleep there. We ended up putting the mattresses on the poorly cleaned, upholstered floor so we could try to get some sleep. We stayed in room 1, which had two large beds.

check-in was for 3 but the room was not ready/the room was dirty, hair everywhere, but the bed was changed. the room is on one floor bathroom with toilet on another, the toilet was dirty/ for a cheap holiday it is possible, but I will never use this place again the owner needs to take more care of cleanliness and he will be fine

It's different from your normal hotel. Perfectly tucked away on a quiet st. Rooms are huge and although they are dated they are comfortable. Breakfast was very different but good. Fridge in the room with water and toiletries supplied. Self service check in and out. Hassle free

We had a great time, especially Cyrus who made the lovely breakfast. It was great service.

BEWARE, THEY'LL LEAVE YOU IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET!!! We booked a room in January 2025 for Wednesday, April 23rd. In the morning, we received the code for the key box. When we arrived, we opened the box, and it was empty. We tried, with great difficulty, to contact the owner at the number left on the front door. A waiter answered... yes, a waiter, probably because the person who (poorly) manages these accommodations also manages a certain restaurant in Glasgow. Cyrus Kitchen is the name on the email address, which can be found in the instructions sent after booking. The waiter told us the manager would call us back in a few minutes. Obviously, this didn't happen. We tried the second number posted on the door, but nothing. We called the first number again, and the poor waiter had us open another door, under which there were spare keys. At that point, we had wasted an hour, but we were happy to be able to leave our bags and take a look. We entered the room and... surprise! It was already occupied; fortunately, no one was home, but the room's occupants' luggage and personal belongings were everywhere. We called the restaurant, the waiter checked the reservation, remained silent for a few minutes, and said the manager would call us back. This didn't happen; the manager then wrote to us on Booking.com, saying, "Booking.com made a mistake; they made you book a room that was already booked; they need to find you another place." We called Booking.com and they told us they didn't manage the hotel's management system and that wasn't true. Fortunately, they helped us out by compensating us. We then found another place to sleep that night. We were a group of friends, but what if it had been a family with small children? We didn't even have the courage to call and apologize over the phone, only to be dismissed with a message on Booking.com and left stranded on the street! Of course, there wasn't even a message to apologize. Disgraceful, disrespectful, and in all honesty, the room was terrible, but for the price, we weren't expecting a five-star hotel. There's a review similar to mine on Booking.com, so is this a regular occurrence? Learn to work hard!

A quiet place. A bit far from the town center. The bed was saggy. The breakfast wasn't great, although it was plentiful.
