Parada do Orgulho LGBTI+ de Belém

The Parada do Orgulho LGBTI+ is Belém's Pride parade, organised by the Grupo Homossexual do Pará (GHP) and now billed as the Parada do Pará. It is held on the last Sunday of September. The crowd gathers from midday on Avenida Visconde de Souza Franco (the Doca) in Umarizal, and trios elétricos with DJs and drag acts lead the march to Praça Waldemar Henrique on Avenida Marechal Hermes.

Recent editions: the 22nd on 29 September 2024, the 23rd on 28 September 2025 (with the first Feira da Diversidade the day before), and the 24th on 27 September 2026, when caravans came in from towns across Pará. Organisers estimate several hundred thousand people; there is no independent count. The 2027 date hadn't been announced at the time of writing. If the pattern holds it will be Sunday 26 September 2027. Mosqueiro island, part of Belém, holds its own smaller Parada on the last Sunday of July.
