Casa Verde Rio – gay-owned, adults only

Casa Verde Rio is a gay-owned guesthouse with six units on the forested slope of Pedra Bonita above São Conrado, run by hosts Stuart and Mauricio. It is adults only, was renovated in 2025 and scores above 9 on booking sites. It is quiet and green, about 20 to 25 minutes by car from the Ipanema gay beach, so it suits a week of hiking, hang-gliding and the odd night out rather than nightly bar-hopping. You will need app cars to get anywhere after dark.
