Fundacion Tiresias Diversidad

Fundacion Tiresias Diversidad is an Iquique-based LGBTIQ+ organisation working on visibility, guidance and anti-discrimination support in the Tarapaca region, including help with social inclusion and employment for queer and trans residents. As one of the few active LGBTQ+ groups in far-northern Chile, it is a useful first point of contact for travellers seeking community links or local information, and is most easily reached through its Facebook page. Chile's larger national organisations, MOVILH and Fundacion Iguales, are based in Santiago and visit the north periodically rather than keeping a permanent Iquique office.
