Faith, Spirituality and Healing Session
Etkinlik Hakkında
As we enter the 7th year of Pride Bahamas, we reflect on a number that symbolizes completion, and renewal. For many queer people in The Bahamas and across the Caribbean, faith has been complicated. Too often shaped by exclusion rather than embrace. But here’s the truth. LGBTI people are people of faith, too. We pray, we worship, we serve, and we hold on. This year, we invite conversation, not to erase differences, but to honor humanity. Because healing requires listening. Healing requires dialogue. Maybe year 7 is the closing of one chapter and the beginning of another, where faith doesn’t have to mean exclusion and where love can look like a bridge instead of a wall. Pride is not the absence of faith. For many of us, faith is a part of our pride.
