To [THE VIC] Corporate Guest Relations, I am writing to formally document an extremely poor experience at [THE VIC + AT VICTORIA BC ] beginning at check-in on May 30, 2026 at approximately 6:30 PM, and continuing throughout our stay. We booked 4 rooms and the service failures began immediately and never improved. Front Desk - Check-in Agent, May 30 ∼6:30 PM: The female agent who checked us in displayed unprofessional, sarcastic, and rude behavior throughout the process: 1. Vehicle info: When I clarified we had 2 cars for our 4 rooms, she replied sarcastically, “THAT’S BECAUSE I ONLY BOOK TWO ROOMS I HAVE NOT BOOK OTHER TWO.” 2. Processing delay: After an excessive delay processing the first 2 rooms, she looked at us smugly and asked, “DO YOU HAVE OTHER RESERVATIONS?” This information should have been in the system. She then snapped at our party, “MAY I PLEASE ASK FOR ALL OF YOU TO STAY HERE WHILE I PROCESS YOUR STAY!” — a delay caused by her own inefficiency. 3. Retaliation: When I called another party member over as she requested, she said, “BECAUSE OF THAT I’LL HELP OTHER GUESTS FIRST,” and halted our check-in despite us waiting. 4. At no point did she offer a proper welcome or greeting. Just a cold hello and no smile Room Conditions - 4 Rooms: 1. Room 1: Live bee inside 2. Room 2: 4 spiders 3. Used appearance: Beds and all pillows in our room looked previously used 4. Housekeeping: Hand towel with large hair embedded We were too exhausted from the check-in ordeal to report these that night. Amenities & Subsequent Interactions - Same Agent: 1. Water: When I asked about water bottles and if there was a fountain, the same agent replied bluntly, “AT THE LOBBY.” When I went down, she shouted “OVER HERE!” with no professional courtesy. 2. Pool: The pool was dirty, unheated, and had no towels. When asked to turn on the heater, she said “we will try but it is on, it must be just the weather.” I personally observed the external heater unit was either broken or unplugged. This was dishonest. 3. Pool staff: A male staff member dropped pool towels on a table and literally walked faat when my wife tried to ask about the heater. No greeting, no service. In-Room & Facility Issues: 1. Towel request: Called for bath towels, waited 30+ minutes, called again, and was brought hand towels instead. 2. Phone system: The in-room phone rings continuously even while in use, which is disruptive and seems defective. This level of service is unacceptable for [The Vic at Victoria BC]. The staff’s attitude, misinformation about the pool heater, and unsanitary room conditions ruined our stay.

Rooms were okay, DO NOT PARK in the parkade!!! You vehicle will most likely be broken into and the staff will not allow you to review footage even with case file number and police request. I loved staying before until it came with attitude and refusal to help locate my child’s ID which was stolen from my vehicle that was broken into. We had even confirmed that there was a clear camera view of all sides of my vehicle and the refused to access the footage said their manager said they weren’t allowed to.

Amazing experience here, might just look like a small hotel from the outside, but the services and amenities inside is definitely on par with some of the best hotels that I’ve ever stayed at. Malik made the experience that much better, great guy, amazing service, amazing attitude 👍

My dogs and I really enjoyed our stay! Excellent customer service, the rooms were clean and lovely, and I really enjoyed that my room had a balcony. I will definitely visit again the next time I’m in Vitoria.

Nice clean rooms, the suite was roomy and well supplied with kitchenette. Made things really convenient. The amenities were a great bonus too

I really enjoyed my stay at The Vic. The rooms were nicely upgraded and included fridge, microwave, coffee maker and AC. the area was really quiet and easy to access the harbour and downtown. I would definitely stay here again!

Stayed at the Vic Hotel recently and had a really great experience. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location was super convenient. A special thank you to Fatimeh and Chris, who were such a great help with our situation and truly went above and beyond to make things easier for us. Their kindness and professionalism really made a difference during our stay. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others visiting the area!

Me and the girlfriends favorite place to stay in Victoria! Affordable prices, great/modern rooms, tv's are easy to sync, quality service, heated pool, games room, diner attached, restaurant & even a liquor store lol. Its great 👌Highly reccommend!

Decent hotel, its an old hotel that has had some lipstick and mascara updates so it was okay and it was relatively clean. Housekeeping seemed to only come every other day so we found ourselves asking for coffee and toilet paper regularly. Floyds diner is attached to the hotel and was a nice addition, great food and generous portions cool diner.. They also have Hecklers pub which is attached and Wed wing night they are lined up out the door.

Older hotel but nicely updated. Clean and a nice heated pool!
